I wanna imagine a DND esque L4D.

Pills here! I use the bottle of pills!
*Die is cast, lands on a 0*

Pretty much any Pen and Paper tabletop can play like L4D though if you know how to do it
From the gameplay, this is pretty much DungeonLand in the third person with some RPG elements added in. I really hope this actually lives when compared to DungeonLand, because it's fun as shit to be an active dungeon master who can take control of his minions.
If you don't know what DungeonLand is, it was a top down RPG where you and three others have to get through an amusement park made for heroes as a trap to kill them. The dungeon master has a deck of cards that he uses for his spells, traps, monsters and events. It's the dungeon masters job to kill the heroes (Who share lives, and once they run out, the dungeon master wins.) before they get to the end of each stage. My favorite part of being the dungeon master was being able to summon giant buffed up regular monsters with special effects along with a small squadron of the regular version of that monster.
It did very poorly if I remember correctly because of the horrible network connection issues that were never fixed.
