Alright, being the true Canadian that I am, I absolutely love Hockey, and I'll take any chance I get to go see a Vancouver Canucks game live.. I bought tickets for me and my dad to go see them live last night. They played the Anaheim Ducks, it was an amazing game for the Canucks, we won 4-1 and there were 3 fights just in the first period.. I really suggest anyone who has a Hockey team in their City to go see at least one game, even if you don't like the NHL.. It's really exciting when your team scores a goal and the whole arena is just going crazy, it really feels good. If you've been to any NHL games, post here and explain the details of the game, how many goals were scored if you can remember etc etc.. Highlights from the game I went to: http://video.canucks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=6&id=76328&intcmpid=van-game-post-highlights EDIT: Just purchased 3 tickets for me and my friends to see the game this Tuesday, against the San Jose Sharks!
Cool. Looked awesome.
It was more than awesome, it was amazing.
I'm not a hockey fan but I used to get free tickets to Panthers games. Hockey games are a lot of fun live
Oh hell yeah they are, when your home team scores that first goal, the crowd goes fucking insane, it's so awesome.. even if you aren't a hockey fan, you can still have a shit ton of fun being at a game live.
Sounds like it's a riot in the arena(Is that the right word?)
I didn't see an NHL game but I watched the PEI rockets play before. I live on the island and I can't really go out west anytime I want to
I don't know much about NHL, but why do I see people fighting in the video?
Hockey is just the congregation of Canadas racists. A bunch of white dudes beating the living fuck out of the one black thing for miles with sticks? No thank you sir.
In the NHL fights are allowed.. gets the crowd really going and gives the team a good pump, also lets out some of the aggression too.
Blog [editline]07:08PM[/editline] ish
I dumped one of my friends because he didn't like hockey. [editline]5262[/editline] the faggot
I thought that was some drinking game at first, now i know its a hockey team
Somebody doesn't know his sports..
I don't think facepunch is the right place to talk sports but I'm with you man. Going to hockey games is really on a different level from going to other sports games.

Sharks about to throw it down
Cool, same I love hockey. Hoping Pens take home the cup this year  [editline]04:57AM[/editline]
Hockey is just the congregation of Canadas racists.
What are you talking about? It's a naturally violent sport but I never hear about racism in hockey.
He's joking.
He's joking.
Dear god ... a poster on FP .... a poster ... on FP ... thinking about what he's read before he ... before he posts? :psyduck:
Wait what Brendan Morrison is back on the Canucks? Did I miss something?
What. [editline]05:01AM[/editline] Yeah, Morrison's back.. well, he's trying out, it's between him and Schaefer. I think it's gunna be Morrison who makes it though, he played amazing last night.
I watched that video you posted in the OP and saw him playing for the Canucks.
No the "What" was meant for BBKF.. When I posted it, your post popped up so I just answered your question and auto-merged the posts.
He's joking.
Sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet.
It's still preseason though. Whatever, I go to see the Sharks all the time, I even got seats right behind the bench once and got a high five from Nabokov. That was awesome.
Gah, I envy you.. although, it would be cooler to get a high five from the highest paid person in the whole league, Roberto Luongo!
Can't wait for the Sharks to get back home from Europe, scored some home opener tickets at STH prices. I have to agree that nothing beats watching live hockey. The crowd is so into it. I went to Game 5 of last season in the playoffs when the Sharks finished the Wings, and holy shit, the whole place was electric. Cheering and going insane while high-fiving and hugging people you don't even know around you is awesome. I had some tickets to the upcoming game vs the Nucks, but I gave them to a friend (I had originally got them for free anyway). I already went to the Teal & White game.
Every time they score in hockey, that foghorn goes off. I missed that sound.
