Hey everyone, to start off, I realize that is is sorta advertisment. But you dont have to buy anything.
My fathers website has been up with his photos for about half a year now with little or no views.
Opinions and constructive criticism are welcome :D
Hope you like some of the images, link is below:

(Yes I designed the website)
Lovely shots, sites a bit slow though.

Very slow.
Very slow.
Yeah, a few freinds in the UK have told me that. Thats due to my fathers choice of hosting it locally in New Zealand.
Nice photos Funny :woop:
Roll_Program: I take it you don't take photos regularly?

Why?
I take photos almost every day.
I like the website design itself.
And it's not too slow for me, but it's still a problem that it's slow for other people.
It's good, but it isn't anything groundbreaking. There is a lack of personal style, seems a bit generic. I'm not getting a feel for the mind behind the lens.
:frown:
That said, there are some pretty impressive shots in there.
OMG PAGE VIEW INCREASED BY %10
Hmmph, what should I do to make more people look at it?
Take pictures that people want to look at it.
Pretty simple, actually.

My dads shit when it comes to this internet stuff.
His most likely reply: "Wtf does he know anyway, he's just a guy on the internet. Pfft."
I thought photography is taking pictures in a creative in fun way. Not taking pictures that people "want to see" and selling them bulk to iStockPhoto

You're the one that came here asking for page views...
Again, if you want people to look at your pictures, take pictures people want to look at.
If you want to take pictures in a 'creative and fun way', that's fine, but don't expect to always get a ton of views.
The one in Cityscapes labelled 'water tower' isn't a water tower, The one on the other side is the water tower. This is the Durie Hill Tower.
I should know, I live there :smug:
Very nice shot though.
Seemingly unreal gradient of colour in the sky.

I will tell him that now. Thanks.
We use Issuu for calendars and postcards section, works well except for the ads in fullscreen :frown:
Edit: Wait, no it is a water tower. A quick google (whanganui water towers, first link) reveals that.
I actually couldn't be bothered going through more than one photoset because of how slow the site is. If he wants people to see his photos, use something like Flickr or 500px.
I take it you own a Mac TAI?

And for the background, make it a small picture that can repeat itself around the background loading a lot faster.

This. I went to a few pages but didn't have the patience to wait for the loading. It's almost worse than 28k :v:
Hmmph, being as stubborn as he is towards technology, I have made him setup a flickr. Will post when I get all the pics up for you guys.

It's a war memorial tower I thought. The one with the large top was a water tower.
Need more of the iconic South Aucks in social commentary.
