Just a little something I whipped up when I finally had an idea. I have a 1680x1050 version as well if anyone wants to use it.
EDIT: Added version with cthulhu

Where's Cthluhu?
I think someone Zalgo'd an old map.
Haha, that's in a cradle of filth song.

Didn't know where to put him, also didn't wanna steal someones artwork seeing as I'm not so good of a sketch artist myself.
Also it's not a map, just a old paper texture for background, all the lines you see are drawn with the pen tool.
It looks cool. Although it lacks a Cthulhu, it feels like the Old Ones are calling me.
:ohdear:
Added Cthluhu.
Not bad, I wish the tentacles were a bit more defined since a silhouette doesn't have much character, but yeah definitely an enhancement.

The silhouette works though, very ominous.

Oh and you should add something, like a picture of R'lyeh.

Feel free too, the coordinates are the believed location of R'lyeh :) .

That is exactly why you should have like a old stencil/painting of R'lyeh, Or maybe the Necronomicon logo. JohnnyMo1 should know what fits.
Is this from call of cthulu?

It would impair the atmosphere unless it looks very vague in my opinion. The vibe I'm getting from this is someone looking around for dissasociated information about Cthulhu/R'lyeh and is being slightly haunted by vague images of the dreaded place, so I guess if it was like a pencil scribble or something like that which has been derived from a dream or something it would still keep the mystique.
I think it should stay mysterious. If R'lyeh would be in there then it would take away from the picture itself seeing as the one who is looking at the photo is suppose to be falling under the "Call of Cthulhu"
I found the background picture you used:

Good going none the less.
