• protein shake/mix?

So our new school year started and i switched around electives to get 8th period weight training. It's 2 months before the wrestling season starts and i need to gain some muscle. I plan to bench ALOT during those 2 months and i have one question. I also plan to drink protein shakes right after working out. So i picked up skim milk, a cofee mug/holder thing and a cheap protein shake powder mix. My question is, im 15. How many grams of mix do i put in? the protein shake is for people over 18, so is there anyway i can take it without damaging anything?
just add one scoop (like around 36g seems to be the norm) to 250ml of milk and mix away. Ta da. also coffee mug holder things tend to leak a bit. From my experience with coffee anyway, just get a shaker for like .99 cents.
The only thing a protein shake is filling you with is bullshit, it all comes out eventually no matter how much you drink. That's what I think anyways.

If "everything" came out eventually you could sustain yourself eating your own shit.
Yes, but I heard protein shakes only help for a short duration
Yes, but I heard protein shakes only help for a short duration
nope.. well if short duration you mean you workout and take protein shakes then stop working out and lose everything then yes.
Yes, but I heard protein shakes only help for a short duration
omg why do we have an influx of retards lately [editline]17th August 2011[/editline] listen to me 30g of protein from a whey protein shake is the same as 30g of protein from chicken breast
I am sorry friends. I don't know correct information, disregard what I've said

There is no actual requirement for you to be 18 however. Protein is protein, it's not going to damage your body in the same way that eating a cooked chicken breast isn't going to damage your body. Just add 1-3 scoops to milk and drink that shit.

Your body can't process more than 35 grams of protein per 3 hours roughly, so don't over do it and waste your powder
Your body can't process more than 35 grams of protein per 3 hours roughly, so don't over do it and waste your powder
strong broscience
strong broscience
I can't tell if your being sarcastic, so ill say thanks?
Not being sarcastic. That's some strong broscience. Broscience being that you are talking out of your ass.
Your body can't process more than 35 grams of protein per 3 hours roughly, so don't over do it and waste your powder
Where are you getting your information?
Well, I buy protein shakes from my gym whenever I go to work out, they contain something like 55g protein, and 30g carbs, and they taste wonderful.
So you plan to bench alot... That's it? I hope not.
So you plan to bench alot... That's it? I hope not.
im not gonna bench the whole 2 months.. im gonna curl bars and dumbells, workout thighs and dalves, i don't really care about abs D: im just gonna focus more on benching
Abs are your core muscles, much more important in wrestling than chest. Really, do a favor to yourself and start an equal full body routine.
Dalves? YES
whole body uses core bro. Like buying a carand no tires
