http://www.shacknews.com/article/75306/goldeneye-n64-had-multiplayer-added-in-the-final-months-of
Nothing says Goldeneye MP like playing as Oddjob and running between Jaw's legs.
For many gamers, especially those growing up on consoles, GoldenEye offered the first opportunity to play a competitive FPS. However, that feature might not have even made it into the game
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan
i wonder where gaming would be if goldeneye didn't have multi...
fuck you oddjob! and fuck you elvis!
i wonder where gaming would be if goldeneye didn't have multi...
Right where it is now. Goldeneye didn't revolutionize anything in the gaming department. It was a really good game that did really well. The features it used were more or less common at the time.

The World is Not Enough for the N64 had some really cool multiplayer features and only came out a couple years later.
i wonder where gaming would be if goldeneye didn't have multi...
FPS may have been less popular on consoles but I think PC FPS would mostly have remained unchanged (since Quake was to PC FPS what Goldeneye was to console FPS).
I still think Nightfire is the best 007 game.

I knew this before from All Your History Are Belong To Us but I guess now's better than never.
I don't think I'd be into games, or not as early if not for goldeneye.
Nothing says Goldeneye MP like playing as Oddjob and running between Jaw's legs.
Now that I know that multiplayer was just rushed and thrown in last second, I see that Oddjob was just an oversight Oho! [editline]15th August 2012[/editline]
The World is Not Enough for the N64 had some really cool multiplayer features and only came out a couple years later.
Had bot support and made it a really fun game to play when your friends weren't around, also
i always played as jaws does that make me bad at the game
This is so late, I knew about this forever ago
Goldeneye 4-player splitscreen is a bit difficult to play. When the screen is divided that many times, the graphics start to blur together, and you get major tunnel vision. Still, it's impressive for its time.
I remember recording our matches on the VCR whenever we played. Good times.
God i spent so much time playing the old 007 games, Goldeneye being my favorite. Why can't they make these 007 games like the used to. Fuck I want the XBLA release of Goldeneye. Perfect dark was fucking an incredible re-release.
i wonder where gaming would be if goldeneye didn't have multi...
The Timesplitters multiplayer wouldn't exist or would be very different.
Had bot support and made it a really fun game to play when your friends weren't around, also
And some cool game modes and maps for it's time. I feel like TWINE was overlooked.
When I played it, OddJob was banned unless everyone was OddJob or it was a game of hunt the shorty.
Old news, it also used to be a rail game too, but they changed it just before release...
I still think Nightfire is the best 007 game.
agreed i beta tested that game too, as well as the world is not enough. nightfire had the best multi.
I still think Nightfire is the best 007 game.
Ehh, I think goldeneye was the best. But Nightfire is RIGHT behind it in terms of quality. Both are great fucking games.
