• Got "hacked" apparently, need advice

It all started today, I suddenly had a phishig tweet in twitter, send from my self, at a time I was asleep. I changed to password from twitter, no problem. I use the same password on icq and the email icq is bound to, too. Well, at 7.45 local time, the time school starts, I suddenly went offline in icq, saw that on my iPhone. Shit's hot then, changing the passwords of email and icq, got rid of it. This all wasn't the question, obviously. The question is, since I never clicked on any phishing link, never downloaded suspicious files, nor visited suspicious sites, how the fuck did that guy get my password and with what should i search my computer (XP sp3) with to be sure I do not have a trojan? Currently I am searching for malicious files wit Avira and SpybotS/D. Any other recommendations? For good solutions, that actually are helping me, I may offer a 5€ prize over paypal.
He probably just guessed your password. It's not that hard. Or bruteforce'd it. Which isn't that hard either.
Use Malwarebytes' Anti Malware to scan your system, it's a great program. Also, did you get any weird messages from your friends on ICQ/MSN/whatever? Those links usually lead to phising sites, and are actually sent to you by a bot of some sort. Another word of advice, get better antivirus, Avira is alright, but there is far better antivirus software out there. Now gimme those 5€.:smug: [editline]12:41PM[/editline]
He probably just guessed your password. It's not that hard. Or bruteforce'd it. When the whole situation is over I will send money. And yes, I received those messages from one account of a friend, never clicked it tho.

The safest thing you can do (Except checking for 'wares) is to change your passwords. You might have unintentionally revealed your password/Secret questions and answers, stuff like that.
I am very picky with that. Also there is no way I can accidentally tell some one a password that isn't at all like pwn1337.

nvm
No, but you can tell him the answer to your secret question in some website.
I Do not use sites which want personal info except my first name, also the secret question's answers is some code combination. Accidently telling is not possible. SpybotS/D finished without results.
I know you said that you haven't downloaded any miraculous shit and all, but it's not hard to do. But I'd check you don't have a keylogger. If you used the same password for lots of things then it's possible a simple google has pulled up other accounts of yours with the same username. It still doesn't answer how they got your password in the first place though. Haha, I just seen someone tweeting you about the issue after I posted this.
