A "particularly dangerous situation" (PDS) tornado watch has been issued by NOAA's Storm Prediction Center (SPC) for parts eastern Arkansas, northwest Mississippi, northeast Louisiana and western Tennessee until 8 p.m. CST. This type of tornado watch is issued in rare situations when long-lived intense tornadoes are likely, according to the SPC.Severe thunderstorms have already caused a tornado just near Clarksdale, Mississippi this afternoon, along with wind damage and hail to the size of baseballs in parts of Arkansas, southeast Missouri and Illinois this morning, and the threat will only increase and become more widespread in parts of the South and Ohio Valley this afternoon as the tornado outbreak gets underway.
[t]http://i.imwx.com/images/maps/truvu/map_specnewsdct-02_ltst_4namus_enus_650x366.jpg[/t] Source Reed Timmer's Facebook page Map of storm chasers broadcasting live
I live in the Birmingham area, I just looked outside my window and it is bone dry out there and red as fuck. I feel like I'm either in hell or on Mars right now with the way everything outside looks. Hopefully the weather doesn't go to complete and total shit. I'd like to not spend Christmas sitting in a house with no power.

Lots of rain and lightning here. At least it's a bit cooler now.
The rain where I'm at in the gulf coast was horrible. Lots of streets turned into rivers here, never seen it rain this hard in a while. Wind was pretty bad too. Especially weird to see this kind of weather in December as it's typically cold, not hot and pouring a billion buckets.
Shit was pretty fucking bad up here in Indiana earlier, I could feel that fucking cold ass air come in like a fucking idk
It's just been raining here in Atlanta. The threat is suppose to come overnight in to tomorrow, but honestly. A lot these storms seems to breakup or weaken once they get near Atlanta. :V Forecast says scattered storms, but we'll see.
It's been pretty windy here in Vicksburg today, especially off the lake. Definitely not a boating day...

In Decatur, AL for the season. It's been raining all day. Just hope it doesn't get any worse.
It's been a weird winter, it's snowed twice in Western New York and the lakes still haven't frozen over even abit.
the last few winters have been weird as fuck, fuckin climate change man
Lots of rain and lightning here. At least it's a bit cooler now.
Yeah just started here outside Cincinnati.

Here's to all our FP brothers and sisters, stay safe!

I live in Clark County in Ohio near New Carlisle and it was kinda scary hearing the radio go nuts with Tornado warnings in every other County around us earlier. Now we're in Beavercreek in the pouring down rain trying to get some damn dinner and the sky is just shitting lightning. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
I'm in southern Ohio, was wondering why the rain and wind is hitting harder than it does in spring at the moment.
Take some pictures please, sounds like an awesome view.
It was, but unfortunately the camera on my phone was doing some automatic color correction or something, because it wasn't as prominent through that, and it was making other colors weird. Or my phone is fucked. Too late now unfortunately, its just black and wet now.
the last few winters have been weird as fuck, fuckin climate change man
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the unusual weather this year is primarily attributed to El Nino as well as the jet stream remaining pretty far north, keeping that cold arctic air from flowing down.

El Nino is playing a big role. Plus, my dad can remember similar winters to this one in the NE Ohio area.
Yup. El Nino is playing a big role. Plus, my dad can remember similar winters to this one in the NE Ohio area.
Hell just in more recent memory we've had winters similar in NE Ohio.
Hell just in more recent memory we've had winters similar in NE Ohio.
Yes. But the point is that Ohio (and the US in general) has varying winters. Nothing to get excited or panicky about.
Northeast Ohio is just inconsistent with its weather. There have been a few times where in a week we've gone through a whole season of temperatures. On Monday it was pretty much at freezing and today it felt like it was in the mid-60s.
church around here got their roof ripped off by straight-line winds. merry christmas :v:
Aaaand it's already over. I drove home in the midst of it, pretty rough shit and the radio was nothing but weather reports the entire trip. Two hours later it's gone.
Had a tornado warning and siren go off this morning, and the day after Christmas we're supposed to have 10 inches of rain, the hell?
Montgomery here, just have flooding in some areas
