I'm trying to use audacity to record my windows audio in order to save a skype call with a bunch of friends, and I was able to do that by setting the input to stereo mix, but obviously, that disables my microphone, so it only records my friends. Does anyone know of a way to have both windows audio and a microphone input into audacity? If not, can someone recommend software that is able to do this? I've searched google without much luck.
Hoping this is the right subforum for this...
Just realized, I'm basically looking to be able to do what fraps does, except with only audio.
As far as I know you can't do that type of stuff with skype. But if you all get Teamspeak and get into the public server and make a channel you can talk over there with better quality and you'll be able to record yourself and your friends.
Shit, I said skype, but I meant the google thing, my mind just kind of defaults to skype when it comes to talking to people over the internet. Google hangout was what I meant. :v:
If I remember correctly you can like livestream the hangout but make it private and then save it to youtube, then you can download the video and convert it into an mp3.
Well that's the only way I can imagine it to work. Sorry that I couldn't help you out correctly.
