I've never played airsoft, Although I really want to try it, and I was wondering why cybergun weapons are so bad.
EDIT:
Maybe I should rephrase what I said, why do people say that cybergun is bad?
Basically what Cybergun does (from what I know) is they get licencing rights for certain guns so they have a monopoly over them and they sometimes overcharge on their gun prices. They only licence guns, and don't make them (again, not 100% on this, wait till Jenkem comes in here ranting about them).
Mostly cheap stuff rebranded. Their stuff tends to get sold at huge chains like Wal-Mart where there's no real restriction needed to get a hold of it and little kids get them and play in the street, where cops end up shooting them and getting our sport banned. Oh, and false information and attempting to run specialized retailers out of business.
That's why.
I have a Cybergun branded ICS 74M. I'm going to hell.
Why are new posters not posting in the obvious questions thread? It's terrible.
And I basically answered your question in my above sentence. I rebranded it.
But when guns have "Cybergun" on them don't always assume they're garbage. Some guns made my ICS, KJW, ARES etc. are great guns but they have 'Cybergun licensed Trademarks'
My ARES TAR 21 has IWI trademarks from Cybergun, doesn't make it a clearsoft walmart brand.

That isn't even the point. In fact, a lot of the Cybergun garbage being stocked around here now is all black/whatever color it's supposed to be. Like I said, a while back I saw some guy trotting down the street with a full black AK, minus a tiny little orange tip. I've never seen that guy at a skirmish, so my guess is he's just one of those morons who play in public. That's bad and helps us = banned.
I'm amazed when you guys say you don't care. You should, unless you want airsoft banned and all your expensive upgraded guns confiscated.
Cybergun guns aren't bad themselves, but if you buy guns made by them you are supporting their horrendous, shitty business practices that are in the long run probably going to result in brand and model restrictions/more expensive guns. Hence why people label them as "bad".

Basically this. I personally don't want to see everyone forced to use STAR Ika Zuchis.
Stay away from Umarex too. That said, some weapons are only available licensed like the G&G F2000, ARES Tavor, and KWA's new H&K guns.
The markings are pretty fugly, very shallow engraving and painted white. But you can bear with it... I consider custom painting my M4 and see what happens to them.
Otherwise, the gun isn't too bad. Got it for 2 years now, only problems with the battery. Which was crap.
