Personally, I love love LOVED this movie. I was literally falling out of my seat in excitement. It was super action-filled and fast, and had an unbelievable climax. Not to mention great characters and cast. When Nicholas Cage died, I cried a little, even though I hated the actor. Anyway, I loved it.
This movie has terrible acting. I couldn't stand to watch it a second time.
Pretty decent fight scenes. That's all I watched it for though.
The fight scenes were something different than every other movie, which made it awesome. The first half of the movie was kind of slow though, but hopefully the 20 minute extended edition will make it better. And Nic Cage was awesome in this.
I liked the movie but the awkwardness in the beginning was just so unbearable. Really if they would have focused it on HG and BD I think I would have enjoyed it loads more.
i got my limited edition blu-ray in the mail it's awesome (+ a KICK-ASS shirt strangely made by FCUK) which also unexpectedly came with this
Holy cow! I want that edition :( They don't sell 'em here in Norway, so I guess i'll try to order it from the internet.

having read the comics before seeing the movie, i can say this movie was well adapted, except for a few things: - the medic didn't find out about the costume, dave had stripped himself before they arrived. - big daddy's background story in the comic was just a cover, he was just some cunt lawyer wearing a mask. - there was no jetpack. - dave didn't get the girl at the end, and neither did his friend. those are just the main changes, there are more i didn't list.
i think it is strange that the first part of the movie shows how impractical a real life superhero would be but by the end it was pretty much a balls out action superhero movie. [editline]03:44AM[/editline] now have some smilies :buddy: :v: :swoon:
Did anyone else think the acting sequences between Nicolas and Hit Girl were painfully awkward?
Fucking spoilers in the OP.
Needed more Nicholas Cage. His scenes were the best.
Needed more Nicholas Cage. His scenes were the best.
I agree. Nicolas Cage is full of awesome. Yeah, he did make many bad movies, but also many good ones. And in Kick Ass he did a brilliant job. Humor of the movie was dark, just the way I like it and all in all Kick Ass was first class entertainment
I really liked the movie. It kept me entertained the whole way through.
Fucking spoilers in the OP.
Spoilers for a movie that has been released for months (with the exception of small countries that it was only released in June) I enjoyed it.

There's still plenty of people that haven't even seen Star Wars. Idiot, great logic. ASTOUNDING. I came in here to potentially learn a little more about it before I got it in Netflix next week.

Spoiler tags aren't that hard to use.
Use spoiler tags . I haven't seen this yet
I don't think the ridiculous amount of death translated well into film. I like it though.
I thought it was okay, I hope the second one will match up with it in terms of quality.
Loved this movie! Some twists got me completely by surprise [IMG_THUMB]http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5fTBUHhToiE/S8tYmGTpJYI/AAAAAAAAA0g/Us6PsWa_RtI/s1600/Hit-Girl-Kick-Ass.jpg[/IMG_THUMB] "Ok, you cunts... let's see what you can do now" :smug: Loved the Hit Girl character!! I'm between Big Daddy and Hit Girl, amazing performances all around!
I laughed, especially on the part where he gets stabbed then he gets hit by a car.
-snip-
Great movie, it's deserving of a better thread... ya know, one without spoilers and more information. How would you make a sequel to Kick Ass? Kick Ass 2 sounds stupid.
Loved the part where Big Daddy just killed all those guys. It felt soo dynamic and smooth, went along perfectly. Reminded me of those games with sequences that show a guy kicking multiple ass without ever losing his cool or getting hurt or stopped. It was awesome.
I liked it. I liked that it was also different from the comic in some ways, and such. And Nicholas Cage was actually good in this movie.Weird.
When Nicholas Cage died, I cried a little, even though I hated the actor.
umm what
Great movie, it's deserving of a better thread... ya know, one without spoilers and more information. How would you make a sequel to Kick Ass? The first volume is supposed to be hitting stores in September.
