Alright so today I reinstalled Battlefield 1942 and both its expansions. I then patched it to the latest patch (1.61 I believe) and then dragged the 1942 mods over from my backup drive and launched Desert Combat Extended. As I launched Single Player, the map gets to about 30%, then just crashes to the desktop (it just goes dark, then "BF1942.EXE is not responding). At first I thought this was just singleplayer, but no, it does the same thing with multiplayer.Im running Windows 7, so I tried disabling desktop composition, running it as an admin, and setting it to XP compatibility mode, but the same error repeats itself. I really have no idea what it could be, I'd really appreciate any ideas to get it working.

The Windows 7 is 64-bit as-well, forgot to mention that.
Are your mods for the 1.61 patch? or possibly a previous patch

They're the lastest versions I believe, someone else has the exact same mods, and system as me, and they don't get the crash.
Go to your Battlefield 1942/mods/bf1942 folder open init.con with notepad and make sure
game.CustomGameName BF1942
game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/
game.setCustomGameVersion 1.61
game.setCustomGameUrl "http://www.battlefield1942.com"
Game.setMenuMusicFilename "music/slaughter4.bik"
Game.setLoadMusicFilename "music/vehicle4.bik"
Game.setWinMusicFilename "music/vehicle3.bik"
Game.setLoseMusicFilename "music/menu.bik"
Game.setCampaignLoseMusicFilename "music/theme2.bik"
Game.setDebriefingMusicFilename "music/briefing.bik"
is the only thing in there. delete any extra code in there. If it's exactly like that then I have no idea.

Yep, mines exactly like that, damn.

Little extra info, the mod in question is DC Extended 0.9.0

Also, I'm gonna try and use a fresh install of the mod and see if that makes a difference.

Just reinstalled it. The mod SORT of works. On multiplayer its fine, it runs without a problem, but on singleplayer, It wont allow me to launch the stock maps, only the custom ones.
I've had a similar problem. Try running it in Windows 98 compatibility mode.
