I've never played a GTA game, because my parents disapproved of the series. Now that it's only $5... should I buy it?
you should, the multiplayer is fun as hell and the singleplayer is good.

it's laggy on the PC, but it's still fun.

Yes.
get saints row the third
I would if I had $50 to spend. But currently I only have $6, and I can't imagine that will change for a while.

It's fun, the the optimization is shite.
Yes get it.
I'd say get San Andreas, but if its 5 dollars, then get it. Definitely worth the money
Yeah it's pretty good for the price.
Only thing I don't like about it is that the dark and realism aspect kind of takes away from the sandbox experience.
Most definitely. Free roam FTW
Personally, if I were you, I'd start out with GTA III, Vice City or even San Andreas. If you have the required console that is.
Cool.
I just got all the GTA games for 12$
is that a new kind of AIDS?
I'd buy it, but to get the most fun out of it I had to buy a quad-core Phenom processor and a GTX 560 Ti. If you already don't have hardware that will run it good, then things might get expensive.
BUT, there is a complete pack of ALL GTA games out you can buy, and it's on sale now.

Hella cheap, definitely recommended over just buying GTAIV. I bought that pack, and I am very happy (considering that I never played the expansions for GTAIV).
get the complete pack, you will not be dissapointed
If you can run it...sure.
