The Labour leader said any alliance would "not happen" as there were "big differences" between the two parties "There will be no SNP ministers in any government I lead," he said, claiming such talk was "scare-mongering" by his Conservative opponents. ... The BBC's assistant political editor Norman Smith noted that Mr Miliband had not ruled out a more informal arrangement whereby the SNP could offer a Labour minority government support on a vote-by-vote basis, known as "confidence and supply".
I can't imagine a Labour/SNP coalition sitting well with English voters in the slightest
Can't imagine it sitting well with the Scottish voters either.
If current forecasts are borne out in the final result, a Lab-Lib-SNP pact could be the only feasible way to form a government after the election [editline]16th March 2015[/editline] It's interesting actually: how many ways can you make 326 seats out of this? Of course the actual result could very well be totally different. If it did go roughly like this though, it looks like the Tories would have a really hard time forming a government, despite being the largest party.
Stage 1: Deny you'll make a coalition Stage 2: "Well, FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY, I suppose we need to go back on our word." By the book, fellas. I don't see any clear winner this May, and I doubt the Lib Dems will be able to prop up anyone this time around. It'll be Lab/SNP, I guarantee it.
This means nothing, the SNP already ruled out a formal coalition with Labour. Labour still haven't ruled out running a minority government with SNP support.
If it did go roughly like this though, it looks like the Tories would have a really hard time forming a government, despite being the largest party.
Well, realistically the Tories have no natural allies anymore.
My God, please no
Can't imagine it sitting well with the Scottish voters either.
Doesn't matter, Labour are dead here and really all they're doing now is cementing the fact that every party seems pathologically terrified of a large SNP segment in Westminster.
