Already living in Netherlands. yes
I love my country. [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] What I'm not polish..
We just won the world. This also makes DPI illegal.
It feels good to be on Dutch soil today!
Bravo, good job NL!
I love my country. [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] What I'm not polish..
My (german) VPS sometimes resolves to Poland for some reason. Even google has the same issue with it.
Why cant the rest of the world be like you?
:toot:
yay us
It's really dissapointing how slowly the world is dealing with net neutrality. Bravo Holland, bravo.
Today I feel proud for my country. And our internet.
:toot:Love my country.:toot:
I'm not always a big fan of decisions made within Dutch politics, but these are the ones that keep me happy with the state of my country.
Allrighty then. How's it going?
NOTE: They also votes Yes for the law that makes Enabling Cookies illegal if the website doesn't specifically askes for uses permission for every cookie.
This will likely never happen in the States
NOTE: They also votes Yes for the law that makes Enabling Cookies illegal if the website doesn't specifically askes for uses permission for every cookie.
Everywhere in Europe SHOULD be doing this now, its pretty dumb. The UK ICO (the people in charge of laws like this) don't even know how it should be enforced though. This should apparently be the standard message on all sites that use cookies for unimportant things. Enabling it on their site adds one more cookie, the google analytic's tracking cookie.
A bit of stupidity is in this as well: right now, there's an exception to this law when it's for ethical reasons, that part was passed because a major party accidentally voted for it, while they were against it :downs:
Pretty awesome news. I'm even more excited about going there next year.

Anyhoo, moving to Holla-oh wait, I already live there.
Netherlands is sounding better and better as time goes on.
I may consider moving to the Netherlands in my lateryears if it keeps up with this kinda cool shit.
I think I know where I'm going to move to in a few years.
Oh, I thought net neutrality was a bad thing?
Oh, I thought net neutrality was a bad thing?
It is if you're the kind of person who thinks the gold standard is a good idea and that slavery should be decided on a state-by-state basis
However, ISPs said they need to discriminate because unchecked traffic from some applications, such as games or file-sharing programs, can slow down their entire network for all customers.
Of course it will when your network hasn't been upgraded or overhauled for twenty years. :colbert: Upgrade your shit, save dough.
