I knew it.
The problem of Monopoly is not within the lack of competition, but the problem with the publics satisfaction with the quality of the competition.

The problem of Monopoly is that it takes way too long to play, unless you get lucky and everyone else lands on Boardwalk.
Why Steam is awesome: Sales like a pack of $340 games for $50.
Why Steam is awesome: Sales like a pack of $340 games for $50.
Thats 340 at their prices.
In reality its probably more like 450-500
(assuming you're referring to the THQ pack)
Steam is so good because it's competitors all fail hysterically. Steam can do what ever it damn well pleases as long as Valve is at the helm we will not be let down.
Holy fuck.
Steam has 72% of the PC gaming market :geno:
I hope those cunts at the EU Competition Authority don't slap down Steam with an anti-competition suit or something.
And it has snow on its front page
I can easily seeing them having at least 72% of the PC gaming market. Personally, when I look to purchase a new PC title, the first thing I do is to check and see if it's available on Steam.
I'm to fat to go out and buy stuff in the store anyways..
hehe funny

Yeah, sometimes you just don't feel like going out and doing it by hand.
No, i hate steam.
Does anyone remember how anti-steam everyone was like 5 years ago?
[editline]03:23PM[/editline]
I never jumped on that bandwagon, to be honest I always loved it.
Oh my jesus this is SO late.

That's because steam was pretty crappy 5 years ago.
I joined steam 2002 (made account 2003)
I'm a veteran, ain't I? (one of the early people)
A good example of this is sometimes we find that when people go out and buy their retail discs, they come back onto our forums and will ask if they can convert their game. They will be like, ‘I wish I could make this the Steam version. How do I make this the Steam version?’
Even Valve know their forums are full of retards.

72% of the PC download market, massive difference.

Yeah, and I'm, too skinny that if I actually walk outside, I risk gaining muscle from exercise.
Creepy thoughts bro.
72% of the PC download market, massive difference.
It's still an enormous percentage for any market.

I joined steam in 2004 when they ironed out the really bad bugs.
I had steam when you could play pirated games at vac servers

i joined november 2004, when HL2 was released :v:
Also,
The strength of it is that the content is there. It would be like people saying, ‘There's no way I'm ever going to publish an Xbox 360 game, because Microsoft has Halo.’
That would be absurd. The strength of 360 is the Halo players, and they help build Xbox Live. Those features are partially there because of Halo. The Xbox 360 is stronger because of things like Halo.
Yeah right.
I joined in 2007 to get garry's mod.
I got Steam as soon as WonID was shut down.
[editline]06:06PM[/editline]
Which was what, 2004?
Me and my brother shared a HL1 pack account from day one until I finally got my own account when Gmod was out.
