Do you support democracy in the middle east? If so, you support your own extinction

Lately I've been noticing a bunch of people on here supporting the protesters in the middle east/north Africa. These people apparently do not realize that they are suicidal. Look at what's happening to the price of food and fuel in our nations. The prices are soaring. Experts are predicting that the price of gasoline in America will reach five dollars a gallon before the summer of 2011. Yes, 2011. In areas like California the price will surpass six dollars. The economy cannot handle these kinds of prices. It is going to fucking implode.
Our economy is already in a weakened and fragile state, the collapse and reformation of Middle-Eastern governments will hurt us drastically in this time of crises. By the time they get their shit together, it maybe too late for us...
The people in the M.E deserve better than dictatorships, but their timing of overthrowing their governments, I must say have been incredibly inconvenient for us..
What are your thoughts? Middle-Eastern democracy at the expense of our already weakened economy? Is this why no action has been taken?
Maybe you should have regulated your lending practices a bit more.
You don't want that since you couldn't marry and fuck 14 year olds there
So you'd rather these people lived under a dictator and tyranny because you don't want to pay more for gas?
And spent less, so gas being at $5 a gallon won't make your country FUCKING IMPLODE.
So you'd rather these people lived under a dictator and tyranny because you don't want to pay more for gas?
It's much more than gas, re-read the OP.
Your own countries fault for having a shitty reliant economy.
Personally I don't think it's fair that those people live under a dictator just so we don't have to pay for gas. A rise in prices is not going to cause the apocolypse, you're just being dramatic.
Also, not like it matters, the US can just strongarm Saudi Arabia into opening the taps, production price is under $10 a barrel or so.
Gas costs so much, because they can get away with it.
When there is serious competition, or growth starts to be significantly affected, the prices will go down.
I do not even support democracy in the first place. Like your vote does really count.
The pro of democracy is everyone is a little bit happy. The con is it doesnt really listens to it's users and doesn't solve anything.
But I think the middleast would be better of with democracy (or a form of it)
Though it makes me scared anyone can become a leader there.
I don't think sitting in a corner and crying about how helping others will take an extra dollar or two out of your wallet will make the world any better.
OP is pretty selfish.

I don't think its really fair that people labor for 6 cents an hour to make trinkets for us, but thats just how it is.
Lamar, you don't have a fucking clue about politics, can you please stop making threads?
but thats just how it is.
Why?
Why?
One word, economics.
I don't think its really fair that people labor for 6 cents an hour to make trinkets for us, but thats just how it is.
Yet what's happening right now in the middle-east is looking to change the current dictorship(s) and you oppose this because it would be detrimental for you, and by extension I can assume you'd continue to let those people labour for 6 cents an hour because if they don't it hurts your bank balance?
Hmm, not being able to drive or be under a dictatorship.. What should I pick? Gee, I don't know!!
Are you stupid or something?
In any case, OP, you're wrong, because in a liberal democratic state, money is pure power, and there are few pesky barriers to exploiting them for oil.
In Denmark we pay 8.5 dollars a gallon and we're getting by.
For fuck's sake people like OP are the reason why the world is going wrong...
First off, oil prices only rise because, guess what, dictators want to scare idiots like you, OP, by burning them down and stopping production. This way you will go batshit insane and will protect them.
And second, oil prices also rise because of fat capitalist pigs like you who speculate on gas and shit, and when they see stuff like this, they all go like "herp a derp oil gonna be rare! omg lets demand moar moneyz for teh risks~~". You should know that, arabian people know very well just how important selling oil is for their economy. And you should also know that dictators breed terrorists because it serves their purpose. It goes the same way as "I protect you from terrorists and you keep me in position."
So believe me, without dictatorships all over the ME, YOUR life will be easier.
Now stop sucking republican cocks and go think a little.
I'm sorry, but you guys are bathing in self-righteousnesses. We as 1st-worlders, live incredibly spoiled and privileged lifestyles, imagine if you had to live like a 2nd-worlder or 3rd worlder, then tell me how righteous you are..
Maybe you should not live in the shitty land which is the united states.

How does it make you feel to create one dumb bombed thread after another?
Does it make you feel like an idiot?
:frog: please
seriously
You're just angry because no one wants to lower the AoC.
Lamar, None of your arguments have the slightest bit of basis in fact, but are mere conjecture based on faulty information and a rather unsightly ethnocentric bias. You also lack credibility because of your refusal to properly address legitimate arguments posed against your claims. Why do you even bother making so many shit threads?
I've got an idea.
Why don't you live there under a tyranny for the sake of lower gas prices.
