Open world like GTA, combat like the Batman Arkham games. If you don't already own this, get it. Great story, good gameplay.
The only dlcs that aren't cosmetic are Year of the Snake, which takes place after the main campaign. Nightmare in Northpoint, which is a supernatural spinoff. Wheels of Fury, which adds a few missions to the singleplayer that will allow you to unlock a very fast, exotic Batman like car, and Zodiac Tournament, which adds an island to the game where you compete against other contestants and eventually the tournaments host (this dlc takes its que from Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon, and will give you a few new combat moves as well as a Bruce Lee styled costume to wear during the dlc and normal campaign).
Truly underrated

The same way Psychonauts is underrated even though everyone and their mom has played it (re: misuse of the word underrated)

it sold like cold cakes.
The only reason I haven't bought it yet is because of censorship
I love how guns are quite rare in this game, yet when you have them you can take them into a fist fight.
Melee combat is wonderful, gunplay is wonderful.
Get this game if you don't have it already.
I bought it this morning, right before the fucking sale for 20 bucks.

Square-Enix games go on sale like all the time. That was sort of inevitable.
