• Macbook Pro internal upgradeability?

Hey, I have a 15" Unibody MBP, non-removeable battery with 4GB of RAM, the 3.06 Intel Core 2 Duo and the 512MB 9600M GT/9400M combo. Would it be possible to buy MBP parts with the 2.66GHz core i7, 512MB 330GT M, and 8 Gb of RAM? If so, how much better would this new setup be compared to my old one? Any how much do you think it would cost? Also, on an unrelated note: Disk Utility says that I need to repair my disk, and it says to boot from "Mac OSX installation disk" and choose disk utility. This is accomplished by holding down C while it is booting. Could I do this with a Leopard->Snow Leopard upgrade disk (You know, the ones they sold for like $10). I already have Snow Leopard installed by the way.
you can't upgrade a laptop besides the RAM and hard drive.
you can't upgrade a laptop besides the RAM and hard drive.
Incorrect, although knowing apple it would likely be a severe pain in the ass.
if you do your going to have a hard time explaining it to apple if it ever has problems at the genius bar.

Unscrew case, unscrew components layered over logic board, find both are soldered, curse, lose cornucopia of screws.

If it is failing, backup all your data ASAP and replace the hard drive. Otherwise do a repair and make sure it says "The volume appears to be okay" once it's done.
ok then, explain how do upgrade the CPU and GPU for a MacBook Pro.
Well they are integrated into the mother board. So I would pretty much have get the logic board from an MBP that has the specs I want and take out the logic board/all parts that have all of the components on it
I know that, and have fun finding someone who actually sells MBP motherboards.
