Awesomeness. Now all they should do is have a PS4+Vita bundle release at launch to really pump some life into Vita.
Seems pretty cool, I had already previously heard about this feature, but making this mandatory for most games will probably have some implications, instead it would be wise to make it a feature for developers who wish to use it.

Well I'd imagine they want as many games to support it as possible, and making it mandatory isn't huge. Basically it just has to scale well to qHD, which is 960x540, half of 1080p. For controls, they'd just map L/R 2 and 3 to the rear touchpad like with current remote play titles, and map the controller touchpad to the touch screen. It's not like it'll increase dev time by weeks, and it'll definitely make the Vita more appealing to new customers.

Few developers would support it, even if it was piss easy to do.
Making it mandatory means the feature will actually be put to use; instead of just being neglected and forgotten. Also nice to see Sony getting aggressive about Vita support, which it needs.
While I have no desire to own a PSVita, I don't see this as a bad thing.
That's pretty cool.

I think making it mandatory is a necessity for it to become used and popular. And like others have said, Sony has already provided the tools for it. It's not like it'll complicate the production of the game.
This is very nice for Vita owners.
If this was Xbox One and a handheld Microsoft made, you would all be bitching about this for being mandatory...

no, this is pretty cool. it doesnt really affect people who dont have a vita so who gives a fuck
It's good to see one of the main selling points of the Vita finally come to fruition. I like how they touted that we could play nearly any PS3 game on the Vita via remote play. It's one of the main reasons I got my Vita. I'm glad they're finally living up to their promises with PS4 remote play.
I kinda feel bad for Nintendo though...

I wouldn't expect a bundle but maybe include a Vita discount voucher with every new PS4 or something

That makes more sense, wouldn't be surprised if Sony did something like that.

Not even close. Tell me how in anyway this is detrimental to the consumer, an entirely optional feature that owners of both platforms may use at no additional cost?
Waitng for your response.
If it didn't cost two arms and legs, I'd totally use a Vita.

I bought my practically new Vita on eBay for $150 and it came with the Vita Starter Kit (screen protector, game/memory card case, carrying sleeve, extra 4gb card), LittleBigPlanet, and CoD BlOps Declassified. You just need to learn where to look.
