the industry doesn't have to do anything about people being dickheads it's not their fault
An extended interview with Zoe Quinn will be published later on Thursday
Here we go
Here we go
It's be like if after watergate became public they interviewed Nixon as a victim because people sent him threatening phonecalls v:v:v
The posts included an accusation that Ms Quinn had had a relationship with a journalist at prominent games site Kotaku in an attempt to get positive reviews for her game, Depression Quest. The allegation proved untrue - but the debate continued, and is now approaching its third month.
Was it? I thought Grayson's wife came out and pretty much confirmed it.
Was it? I thought Grayson's wife came out and pretty much confirmed it.
The allegation isn't that she had a relationship with Grayson, but that her relationship with Grayson was to get positive reviews for Depression Quest out of him. The review never existed.

But let's focus on the claims that GG people aren't making and don't care about.
ok but it was the original argument its not that relevant now but barely anyone ever admitted that and it was annoying at the time, even as someone who you'd consider "pro gamergate" im p sure i pointed it out in the original sh thread as well
if anyone says that nathan grayson reviewed depression quest I'll tell them they're wrong, but I haven't seen anyone suggest that in months. you were totally right on, if that makes up for anything. I do disagree that that was the original argument, just one of many possible issues that people brought up.

Shows how successful the narrative spin has been when Zoe is still being interviewed about harassment, which intrinsically has nothing to do with gamergate. Yes, she and others were harassed as a result of the incident (and so were pro-gamergate people just sayin'), but that's just what happens to people who are in the spotlight for ANY reason. By putting yourself out there and having any kind of opinion, you are simply subject to that kind of treatment from random trolls no matter what, and while that is an urgent issue on its own, it's just that: a separate issue. Gawker and friends have only reported on the natural fallout of gamergate and not its core issues, typically deflecting any good points pro-GG people have with, "oh yeah, well some guy on twitter harassed someone so you're wrong!" It's like blaming insomnia on gamergate because a few people lost sleep as a result of it.
Stop treating her as a credible source. Stop painting Eron as the bad guy in this. She cheated on him with 5 different people, but she's the victim because she was exposed? She's a real piece of shit. Those crocodile tears in the video were delicious.
this gamergate bs is pissing me off. i don't see how/why anyone cares.
In August, an ex-boyfriend of Ms Quinn published a blog post, that ran to thousands of words, detailing intimate details about their relationship. The posts included an accusation that Ms Quinn had had a relationship with a journalist at prominent games site Kotaku in an attempt to get positive reviews for her game, Depression Quest. The allegation proved untrue - but the debate continued, and is now approaching its third month.
The BBC is making it sound like GamerGate was the result of a spiteful ex-lover throwing baseless accusations at the woman who spurned him. As much as I want to see some sort of positive change happen as a result of GG, the fact we have major news outlets giving these people a podium and sympathetic ears makes me think they've already won.

"Avenge me, rich people!" Can you list some examples?

There is an actual divide in the gaming community now. Infighting is growing on the AGG side. There wouldn't be "Gamergate is dead" articles if they weren't panicking.
Also all the charity
