Okay, so I have a Sony Webbie HD, and it saves it's files in MPEG-4 format. And no matter what editing software I use, when I look at the clips, the clips are laggy and choppy as hell. At first I thought it was because I was using Windows Movie Maker, but a tried a bunch of other editing softwares too, and the same thing happened.
So now I think that its the format. And it saves in 720P, or 1080P (whichever I choose), and I figure I could just use a different format, but I wanna keep it HD.
Any ideas on a converter or something that I could use?

Footage seems fine with no bumps, try downloading http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ and see if you get the same problem
If you don't really want the HD video, see if the camera supports something in a smaller resolution or run it through a converter.

You should be able to edit video with those specs, but probably not HD footage, decrease the resolution with a converter.
