Not entirely set in stone. Will be different on the album version since I'm nitpicky over time, haha. I know for a fact that the opening "DUN" isn't going to be there on the absolute finished version and I'm going to repan the wobbles at the end towards the center, but for the most part I'm happy with how this turned out. I'm probably going to want to change the name to something more spacy since there's a shuttle launch sample in the middle. haha. Contravene means to go against law or prohibition, so yeah. What do you guys think?
Really really good
Really great. I love that your keeping it melodic, while still keeping it relatively heavy without sirens and robot noises. I love this. :v:
Thanks a bunch, haha. This originally started primarily out of chiptune stuff and the dubsteppy aspect of it came in when I was fooling around and it worked. This intro is how it originally sounded and was worked on while I was in the process of moving:
First time I listened I skipped through it a bit and thought it was a bit meh, but now I've listened again with headphones and I'm jealous of your skill mate! It's really great. Few things- Not huge things, just things that bugged me: Not a fan of the speeding up in the intro, but hey that's your choice. On the leadup to the last drop it seems there's a lot more going on in the right channel than the left. But really, it's great. What do you use for the mastering?
I use Voxengo Elephant for all the limiters and Voxengo GlissEQ for all the EQ'ing. And I'll fix that right channel issue - thanks! :D
