I JUST bought Revelations since it was on sale on the 3DS eShop and it is fucking fantastic so far. If they can produce a sequel with similar quality I'm sold. Seriously, if anyone doesn't have revelations yet on 3DS, get it for $10 before the sale ends. I don't know about the price of the HD versions.
This is almost like the premise to Dead Rising 3.
And it is both by Capcom.

Fantastic game, and the 3DS aiming is superior to the HD versions. Plus 3D beats out HD for that game in my opinion... But I'm really hoping that this new title does come to 3DS, I'd be quite disappointed if it didn't
I'm more interested to see where the game will fit on the timeline. Will it be close to RE6 in terms of dates, or will it be further back like Revelations had parts that took place in 2004, and a majority took place in 2005? Pretty much sandwiched between RE4 and RE5. If that teaser holds any accuracy, the game has actual 'zombies', so it could be in quite a few possible dates, with the most recent zombies being the C-virus zombies.
I'd rather they just call it Resident Evil 7.
I hope Capcom brings it to the 3DS since Revelations started on it
exactly, and capcom could totally just play it off and say that they're actually in the same universe because lol gotcha!
Hell, Dead Aim revealed that RE and Street Fighter were in the same universe.
