As someone who had never played RO2 before, and bought RS on a whim, I can safely say it's one of the most entertaining multiplayer shooters I've played in a long time. Also, I didn't actually find the difficulty curve too steep, it may just be because I'm more of an inherently cautious player, but I never found myself dying often enough to warrant annoyance.
No Tanks No Deal

This game is always difficult for me as i don't have good aim in this game to play the basic rifleman with their bolt-action rifles and become overwhelmed when more then one start coming, you can't really run away without getting your ass one-shotted when you try to retreat. I die in this game almost all the time because of something, when i try to spot the enemy in the woods only to to get killed at the least expected place or missed and they end up killing me because of their superior accuracy. Playing this game WAS fun until i am annoyed to death with it and regret throwing money at this game...
Tanks in the Pacific theater. What.
You're joking, right?
it's hard to be cautious
What, no. This game rewards you for being patient and cautious. If you run around thinking you're Rambo you're going to die, alot. I hate to make the comparison but this isn't Call of Duty or Battlefield. You can't willy nilly run n gun. You have to pace yourself, assess the battlefield and your current situation. When you die don't sit there and go oh wow this is bullshit, stop and think Ok what did I do wrong and what can I do to make sure it doesn't happen again. Obviously that style of gameplay isn't for everyone.
No Tanks No Deal
Imba. Japanese Tanks were shit compared to American Tanks. They're shells bounced off ours. Our shells went clean through to the other side. Earlier I got sniped out of my MG nest by a Thompson because I didn't think he could see me (only his right arm stuck around the corner) and made the mistake of lining up my aim before I intended to shoot, rather than spraying an unaimed hail of bullets in his general direction. From my view he looked to be crouching behind the wall not aiming, but in reality he was leaning around the wall iron sighting me.
You're joking, right?
Aside from your standard flamethrower tank, you rarely had tank on tank fighting in the Pacific.
No Tanks No Deal
Tanks will be added eventually, the game's already pretty fun though, and cheap, so why not buy it ?
Aside from your standard flamethrower tank, you rarely had tank on tank fighting in the Pacific.
You still can't deny that having flamethrower tanks would be awesome. Some of the Japanese classes could have pole mines to balance things out.
American tank would probably have to be a stuart and Jap tank needs to be a Ha-go or something similar. Sherman would be overpowered as fuck
American tank would probably have to be a stuart and Jap tank needs to be a Ha-go or something similar. For Tank on Tank though, definately cannot have the Sherman. Japanese Tanks could not do enough damage to wreck a Sherman. Most Sherman losses in the Pacific were due to AT mines and AT Infantry. I would say the tanks should be the USMC M2A4 light tank (direct predecessor to the M3 Stuart), and the IJA Type 95 Ha-Go.

Love this game but if you play action mode, you're a tool.
