'Deadpool' Won't Work Without Ryan Reynolds, According To Script Review
Ryan Reynolds has yet to make a decision between "R.I.P.D." and "Deadpool," but if the actor passes on the latter project, "Deadpool" is as good as dead — at least, that's what's indicated in a new review of what's reported to be a recent draft of the script.
Cinema Blend has posted a glowing review of an alleged "Deadpool" screenplay written by "Zombieland" co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, describing it at one point as "Van Wilder" meets "Kill Bill" and again later as the darkest aspects of "The Dark Knight" married with the fun of "Iron Man."
"If Quentin Tarantino wrote a superhero movie, it would be a lot like this script," reviewer Josh Tyler surmises of the "Deadpool" screenplay.
"The thing is, it'll only work with Ryan Reynolds," he continues. "The character of Deadpool is written in his voice, his style, and when you read it, it’s impossible not to hear him talking in your head. It’d never work with anyone else but if Reynolds really steps up and takes on the role, it could be the defining moment of his career. Deadpool could become a pop culture icon; he could be Ryan’s Captain Jack Sparrow. He’s that good."
According to the review, "Deadpool" deals with the character's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" connection by mocking it, as though Deadpool "exists in a world where 'Wolverine' is a movie that he's seen, and hates." The screenplay disconnects completely from "Wolverine" and spends a good portion of the movie "endlessly poking fun at the celebrity of Hugh Jackman."
But there are still connections to the greater "X-Men" universe, as Colossus is said to have a major role in the film, occasionally playing the straight man to Deadpool's unhinged antihero. Other characters including Blind Al make appearances. Additionally, Deadpool's scarring is said to be a major plot point in the film.
oh bullshit just use somebody else

I have no idea what Deadpool is v:v:v
He was alright in Xmen origins, but this time they should actually make Deadpool, Deadpool.
He was good as Deadpool in X-men Origins. Until they destroyed the character.
Nolan North does a good Deadpool voice-over, if you've ever seen Hulk vs. Wolverine, but he's just a voice actor. Reynolds was a good Wade Wilson in Origins, but they didn't give him a chance to really shine. if he does take on the role of Deadpool in this script, I will have to agree with the guy in the article, it could really make his career.
I would watch it if he was in it.
The few minutes of X Men Origins that didn't suck with Wade were awesome. he's a natural match for the character.
Ryan Reynolds is a HUGE comic book nerd, so I doubt we have all that much to worry about. He did express interest in doing it, and seeing as marvel could pour money into this and still make money I doubt there's gonna be any trouble in getting him to take it.
Ryan Reynolds is funny as hell, I hoped that the shitty origins DP wouldn't take him from this role.
Ryan Reynolds was the guy campaigning for a Deadpool movie, and people realied he'd make an amazing Deadpool, so they also suggested he played the lead.
The only reason he isn't filming it now is because A) it's still in preproduction and B) DC wanted him for Green Lantern.
I read he was just as disappointed when he was what "Deadpool" became in Origins, as well.
"according to review"
Sooo basically some douchebags opinion is that he doesn't want anyone but Ryan Reynolds?
Not news, meaningless opinions.

Yeah.. I just about lost it when not only was his notorious mouth stitched together, he shot fucking lazerbeams from his eyes and copied Wolverine's claws.

This just in;
Ryan Reynolds declines the part as Scout in Valve's upcoming movie rendition of Team Fortress 2, due to obsessed fan clogging his email with pornographic imagery featuring the character he would be acting.

u just said you must be gay
He'll choose Deadpool, he's been dying to do it properly.
Ryan Reynolds was the best part of Origins. Liev Shrieber as Sabertooth came close second.
They shit up his face and rasp up his voice, sure. Otherwise Reynolds is the perfect man for the part.
I'd hit i-

Nevermind, won't touch it now.
I hate Ryan Reynolds, he always acts as the douche of the film.
Seems like he fits the part perfectly.
