tell me, facepunch is it legal to use other peoples hard work to advertise your own? example: on facebook, i keep getting this ad in the right hand toolbar What the fuck is this shit? using counterstrike with a few shitty filters to advertise your shitty copy+paste facebook app? no, sir, fuck you have you seen other people doing this? maybe using some stupid internet meme? like, idk THIS? though it's a new thing, it's still a stupid internet meme, and while it took no effort to achieve that status, it's unoriginal. what the fuck is wrong with advertising today if we can't even be goddamned original?
Money.
Bitches.
Unless that particular image is copyrighted by Counter Strike (or anyone) then it's perfectly legal. Dick move maybe, but legal.
What pisses me off is that when companies give away "free" stickers or t-shirts in order for you to wear it and advertise their shit for free [editline]03:34AM[/editline] lil off topic but not really
People see counter strike picture and go "oh shit i like that game this must be good"

If anything it makes me want to play that mafia wars game less.

It's not like they force you at gunpoint to advertise for them, you could just bin the stickers.

Only cool when its a awesome company.
Is it kinda like Mac Vs. PC?
People see counter strike picture and go "oh shit i like that game this must be good"
That would be a very tough point to argue legally. You could get very similar images in a lot of shooters. If it was the CS logo, that'd be different. But a guy holding a gun? You can't claim that.
It's Facebook.
why would you play mobsters 2 vendetta when you can play mafia wars anyway
I laughed hard when I saw one of those 'get ripped in three days' ads using before/after picture of a friend of mine who got that way by working hard over a year and a half.
Ads are ads they suck ass but they keep things free like youtube and hulu.
The Scout was an old weapon in Mobsters 2 you had to use Godfather points to buy.
