While we understand that many others share our pain, we ask that you channel your frustration in ways that will make a positive change. We need to work together to fix the system that allowed this to happen. Join with us in our campaign to ensure that every police officer working the streets in this country wears a body camera. We respectfully ask that you please keep your protests peaceful. Answering violence with violence is not the appropriate reaction. You want to riot? Go ahead. Is it racially motivated? Sure. You disagree with the jury's decision? Understandable. Peaceful Protests? Its your right. Burn the town to the ground? Unacceptable. MLK Jr famously wrote in his Letter from the Birmingham Jail "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere". The peaceful protesters across the nation are calling this an injustice of the system. They are exercising their rights as they should. Those bad apples that come with and want violence are the problem. The burning, smashing, and looting of businesses accomplishes what? Thats not solving the racial disparity or institutionalized racism that exists in this nation. Thats setting us back further rather than progressing us forward. These are the real victims of the riots. Where's their justice? Their business; their income; their life; their american dream. Gone.
Lock yo doors hide yo cars
Lock yo doors hide yo cars
Just move, there isnt going to be a town there anymore.
RIP in advance
Here's hoping he's found not guilty
Update this thread when they reach a decision, huh?
No matter what happens, millions will protest.
Need a superposition verdict.
Here's hoping he's found not guilty
We wall off Missouri, replace it with Puerto Rico so we don't have to change the flag. All works out.
We wall off Missouri, replace it with Puerto Rico so we don't have to change the flag. All works out.
That... sounds like a good idea anyway.
CNN reporters are lining up in Missouri like it's the California Gold Rush
There's going to be looting and rioting either way. I feel bad for the people down there who have to deal with this shit.
We wall off Missouri, replace it with Puerto Rico so we don't have to change the flag. All works out.
but what about me? ill be trapped in this shitty state forever :suicide:
We wall off Missouri, replace it with Puerto Rico so we don't have to change the flag. All works out.
I like the way this guy thinks.
I find it funny how the article in the OP HAD to tell the reader what skin colour the police officer was.
Holy shit I hope that courthouse has a lot of security, a lot of respect for the judge who has to do this. Theres gonna be a lot of pressure on this guy, hope he tries to cool things off Or at least tell people that looting isnt really helping anyone regardless of race
How about we turn Missouri into a penal colony like in "Escape from NY/LA". We can send snake plissken in to save Obama.
"Just in time for Black Friday!" Those fucking comments, holy shit.
When do the national guard move in with diggers to flatten the town which has become a focal point for senseless violence and looting.
Hopefully the officer can get out of there before he's mauled by the populace.
Hopefully the officer can get out of there before he's mauled by the populace.
He's probably going to be escorted by the highest security money can buy
Holy shit I hope that courthouse has a lot of security, a lot of respect for the judge who has to do this. Theres gonna be a lot of pressure on this guy, hope he tries to cool things off Or at least tell people that looting isnt really helping anyone regardless of race
There's this thing where some people end up feeling entitled to loot and pillage because of "THE REASON". They don't care if they're basically destroying local businesses who have nothing to do with any of this shit. Everything to them just exists as part of some nebulous candy store that they feel they have the right to ruin. Hence why it's a good idea for store owners to bunker in, arm themselves, and be ready to open up on anyone trying to break in. That's generally how this shit goes down since LA.
I'm firefighter who will be potentially responding to the area depending on the outcome. It's not going be a pretty sight.
Well, here's to hoping nothing bad happens. But you know it will. I hope the good guys get out of there alright.
I'm firefighter who will be potentially responding to the area depending on the outcome. It's not going be a pretty sight.
I get the feeling you're going to get a busy night.
I'm firefighter who will be potentially responding to the area depending on the outcome. It's not going be a pretty sight.
All the best pal, you'll be fucking needing it.
I'm firefighter who will be potentially responding to the area depending on the outcome. It's not going be a pretty sight.
stay safe, my man.
Just like the LA Riots.
I guess we really can't all get along.
I find it funny how the article in the OP HAD to tell the reader what skin colour the police officer was.
When a white guy shoots a black guy its always because he's a racist KKK member who kicks babies and puppies
I just hope that the protests stay protests. If it gets violent it will solve nothing, and just further cement the idea that the supporters of Brown* are "nutty looters", and nobody will take the case seriously anymore, we'll just go back into a loop. *(I wouldn't know what else to call the whole protest scene other than protest so I'm trying to give it a name)
