Comics. Every time I think of manga I think of tentacle rape hentai.
Manga. Good manga that is.
Comics 'cause majority of pure humor comes from there
I choose comics.
Manga.
Manga.
I like them both equally. I chose Manga because it was on top
I don't read either so whale tooth carvings.
I hate anime/manga. I just don't get the populatrity.
USA Comics.
Manga, unless you can find me an American Junji Ito.

Also Berserk, Gantz, Parasyte, etc.
Nothing in American comics have managed to impress me as much as those titles in art or story, though to be fair I haven't read any of the big famous ones. But then again neither have any of you who don't like manga.

oh god what
Batman. Just Batman.
Maybe if I could find a decent American graphic novel that actually held my interest and wasn't aimed towards pre-teens, I could appreciate American work more.
Plus, manga is just... bigger. More adult choices.

That's not manga in general, just your mental image

You're fucking kidding me right? Really? You don't read many non-manga comics do you? Start with either of these two comics:
Sandman. I can't spoil anything for you.

Or Alternatively if you like classic super heroes with a dark setting. It's Watchmen, this needs no explanation.:

After that may I send you over to a little book called "The Killing Joke" Starring the Joker. The Joker shoots batgirl through the torso, takes naked pictures of her and forces Commissioner Gordon to look at them in an attempt to drive him insane. All the while dealing with his tragic backstory, so well written it's the one most think of as cannon.:

Or if you would rather Marvel over DC, try Kraven's last hunt. Marvel decided that Kraven, a rather silly Silver Age comic character that got his powers from magic potions needed to be killed off as he was starting to fade in power compared to the other villains, they decided to kill him off in the most bad ass way possible, by defeating, and becoming SpiderMan.:

If you want the man of steel try this, it deals with the morals of communist society as well as the ideals of the man of steel. What if Superman were the villain?:

Hell, if you want something goofy and silly try deadpool (Currently Merc with a mouth is what to read):

All but the last one are well thought out and aimed at adults. Each deals with rather dark moments, morality, mortality, and even destiny to some extent (except deadpool, he's just silly). The first two got the World Fantasy Award for being so well written. Do you honestly think that comics are aimed toward preteens?
Comics now are scarcely targeting the youth/teen audience as their main fanbase has grown up into full fledged nerdy adults. Generalizing them as stupid shallow kids stuff is like me generalizing manga in the terms of most of it being "SUPER PRINCESS PRETTY CUTE H ROMANCE GIRLS!" or "GIANT MECHA DESTRUCTO ZORD". I know neither is true, even though the market is flooded with bad romance (and worse fan service). Don't generalize about stuff you don't read. It makes you look like a fucking retarded baboon.
Seriously? Nobody ever replys to my posts... Gaaah.

Holy fuck, I love the Marvel Team-Up and Zombies arcs of Deadpool.
Also, I checked out my local manga section of my local area that sells books (Libraries, book stores like Borders, and generic comic book stores), and all I saw was bishounen or flat-chested magician girls. Well, either that, or some chitinous devil-esque abomination.
couldn't decide, I go with comics for the deadpool
And for Transformers: Hearts of Steel

Neither. I dislike them both.
Comics, all the KAWAII ANIME DESU DESU shit is really childish and annoying.
Inb4 rage from anime fans.
urge to bomb with awesome manga rising

Apparently, you haven't actually read/seen any decent manga that is not part of the overused mainstream titles such as lucky star.
Manga, all the GAY TIGHTS FAGOT HOMO HOMO shit is really childish and annoying.
I love both but, Naruto aint got shit on the avengers.
Remember when Cap beat the shit out of those guys going after wasp?
That part was epic.
I don't see much of a difference between the two to be honest. I read a lot of American and Manga comics, both have good humor, good plots, so why does it even matter?
