Possibly video card problems? Blue screens and freezing
3 replies, posted
Okay, so I had been getting some blue screens and my computer was freezing every so often (even at times that it was under very little stress). After a bit, I decided to reinstall Windows 7 to hopefully fix some of the errors.
So I reinstalled Windows, and installed the bare minimum of software (Steam, 1 or 2 games, some drivers for my GTX 260)
Now I just got a blue screen again, and I wasn't able to boot up anymore.
I reseated all the cards and memory in my computer, and it didn't seem to help.
I just put in a Nvidia 6800, and I was able to boot up. I am currently waiting to see if it has a blue screen again.
I figure it is the video card, and just wanted some second opinions, or tips on making sure that it is before I buy another video card.
Caught a photo of the blue screen if it helps anybody.

Some google searching says that the 0x0000003b is related to graphics card drivers? Maybe I will try a different version of driver, but I think I have the newest. Is there any way to remove the driver?
Someone else also mentioned memory, I will try testing that if I still get blue screen with the 6800.
I changed to an older driver and it seems to have fixed it.
Same problem I'm on a nvidia 560 gtx latest drivers, on a fresh windows install, seems to have worsened since installing windows updates after service pack 1 install
