Four 285's vs Two 295's?
Four 285's vs Two 295's?
Is not a competition. I can't imagine the heat these put out, with 3 GPU's I put out more heat than is used to heat a small log cabin for a season lol.
the problem is you'll need at least 2 1000w psus to run the cards + the board
Holy motherfucking shit
Liquid Nitrogen cooling is not far away, my friend.
Now it's time to damage my wallet once again.
Liquid Nitrogen cooling is not far away, my friend.
It's never going to happen for the average consumer if you know anything bout liquid nitrogen.
Well, I've used it before. And since when are gamers average consumers?
Do I see 7 pci-e slots there?!
world records in all 4 vantage benches.
Even if you got 4 295's, they aren't going to perform dramatically better. There has to be GPU's optimized for this type of SLI.
old news! here have a clock
You can't have 4 295's because that'd be an 8-way SLI, right?
You can't have 4 295's because that'd be an 8-way SLI, right?
Holy shit someone needs to give benchmarks on that.
In other news, Crossfire has allowed for 4 independent GPUs for some time.
Products Information:
So just what kind of performance can you expect to see with 4-Way GTX 285’s? Well just ask extreme overclockers Vince “k|ngp|n” Lucido and Peter “Shamino” Tan. Only 1600 mhz? I wanted 2100..
7x SLI? Sheeeit... I better be able to crossfire two 5890x4's.
Or you can put 7x 9800gt in it and fold lol.
more like 7 9800GX2s
Jesus fucking Christ. Wait til Maxishine or Trubitar get their hands on this.
Let's just go with ATI's 16-way crossfire with the two 6890x8's.
Incredible!
You can't put 7 9800 GTs on it, you can have four single GPU cards, or 3(?) dual GPU cards.
Three dual gpu? I thought it was only 2, considering it's still a 4-way. Like, is it then possible to have four 4870x2's?
You can't put 7 9800 GTs on it, you can have four single GPU cards, or 3(?) dual GPU cards.
You can still only have 2 GTX 295's running in tandem. That's 4-way SLI already.
You can still only have 2 GTX 295's running in tandem. That's 4-way SLI already.
There has to be some sort of upgrade to dual GPU cards. We had 4 way SLI with two dual GPU cards before this, so we should be able to have 6 now.
you can have 7 cards if you you want to use physx to fold, like robbaz said.
you can have 7 cards if you you want to use physx to fold, like robbaz said.
What's the use of folding anyway?
