• Controller or Keyboard and Mouse.

What do you guys use to place video games with? I recently got a controller and it feels nice to use, but I miss my keyboard and mouse so I'll use the controller for fighting games.
Depends on the game. Controller for Assassins creed, racing games, etc. Keyboard for everything else.
Controllers for platformers, racing games, fighting games, and action type games like Castle Crashers. K+M for basically all else.
KB+M for all seriously you can configure it in a way that you wouldn't need a controller. Consolefags. (User was banned for this post ("This isn't 4chan." - MaxOfS2D))
For platformers, etc, controllers genuinely are a great deal more comfortable and a little better, performance wise. My hands cramp up playing spelunky for a short while on a keyboard but I could go for hours with a gamepad.
I prefer playing with controller. If it's multiplayer shooters I prefer mouse and keyboard. I also prefer to play Touhou with keyboard.
I'm both myself. Platformers other than ones like Terraria and Starbound are more natural on a controller, ditto for racing games. Some 3rd person games are also much better when played with a controller. First Person games, RPGs, RTS' and most other games types I use keyboard and mouse as they just work and feel better.
If it got shooting in it or is a strategy, keyboard and mouse. If it doesn't have shooting in it, controller.
keyboard + controller
FPS & RTS easily Keyboard and mouse, racing and fighting controller
Controller is for noobs :D [sp]unless fighting games and noob consolers[/sp]
keyboard+mouse but thinking of buying a gamepad so I can connect my laptop to my huge-ass screen and game on the couch.
I grew up with a keyboard when it comes to racing and FPS. [sp]I also could play a controller backwards[/sp]
Nah I prefer controllers but they have to feel good. I like the Xbox 360 controller but not the Xbox one controller. I just never liked using a keyboard and mouse. Maybe because i don't game on a PC. I've tried it at a friends but nah, just not me.

I voted for keyboard and mouse. The games I play work great with it, Castle Crashers included, even though they recommend a controller. (In fact I had an easier time with a keyboard than a controller.) The only game I've run into where I absolutely need a controller is Skullgirls, because quarter circles and timing and the what have you.
Keyboard and mouse in almost ever situation. Platformers usually feel much better with a controller, but most games which people recommend controllers for I feel no difference between the both (eg. assassins creed)
If I'm playing on an emulator I use a controller but the rest of the time I'm on keyboard and mouse.
I've pretty much only been playing games for 3 years, and all of that time was on keyboard and mouse. Another reason I may not like it is because I have a super cheap controller.
trackball
Keyboard and mouse only. The only time I ever pull out a gamepad is for emulation (can't be playing super metroid with a keyboard, that shit is wrong!)
Depends, for most games i do keyboard and mouse, but for platformers and dark souls its controller all the way.
Both. I prefer a mouse for FPS games when I can help it, but I don't have any difficulty using a controller instead. Controller's are superior for precise navigation with a vehicle, though.
Both depending on the game. Games like Lego LOTR and Dark Souls kinda need controllers to play properly. Along with Arcade flight games.
Overall I prefer k+m but if the games wants me to I can use an xbox controller.
Keyboard and Mouse, I find they work perfectly for the games I play on the computer.

Gamepad for racing and third person games (such as Assassin's Creed). Keyboard and mouse for RTS, RTT and first person games. If I had to make the choice though, I'd go with gamepads. They can be okay for most genres, but they'll never be as precise in shooters as mice are.
You cannot play Metal Gear Solid 2 well on a PC. Just one of the examples that controllers are more flexible with games sometimes.
It just depends whether I want to get comfortable of not, because if I do I can just kinda lay back, relax and play my games with a controller, but when it comes down to a game that's competitive like csgo then I'll use keyboard and mouse.
