What I want is to record videos just cut the scenes and upload on Youtube.
For recording I use Fraps which is not pefect but enough.
For editing I used Windows Movie Maker. That was also ok....
But I want to make my videos HD on youtube so i have to put them on format 1280x720.
I can record them at this size but WMM cant save the edited video on that format.
Now im asking if anyone knows a way to do that. Easiest way would be a plugin which adds a 1280x720 option but I dont thing this exists. So I need a free program without many functions but an option for that.

Avidemux sounds like the perfect tool for what you need. It does simple editing, cutting, and converting (and can do it in batch if you need it to).

You pay for what you get. And I think it's way worth every penny. I absolutely love After Effects.

I think I do one with WMM and then I'll try Sony vegas.
I think the Windows Movie Maker Live does HD uploads directly to Youtube.

Good idea, I did that too.
Started out with WMM, got really good with it but then I was fed up with the "powers of it", i needed something that could do more.
Sony vegas was a great transition for me XD
