Seems like the internet is lacking a sturdy answer on this subject.
I'm planning on creating a new rig, but there is an issue.
The CPU I'm planning to buy is i5 4670K with a FCLGA 1150 socket. This entire FC (Flip Chip) things is kind of new to me and I'm having difficulties understanding why it exists.
(Would be great if someone explained it to me).
Now, the motherboard I'm planning to buy is Z87X-D3H which has a LGA 1150 socket support.
From what I've understood, the FCLGA 1150 CPU fits perfectly into the mobo LGA 1150 socket, but... Does the BIOS support and recognize that FCLGA 1150 CPU - That's my main concern, since I'm planning on overclocking and adjusting things.
Please, I'd like to have an answer from a person that knows his stuff, no assumptions.
Thank you!

It will work just fine.
Nice, source...
I'm serious, will there be BIOS support?
Ahha, so Haswell is basically some meta name for FC?

No, not at all. Haswell is a codename for the 4th generation of processors released by Intel. Haswell (exclusively) uses the LGA 1150 socket.
So, if it says Haswell FCLGA 1150 it's most likely a typo? Or did Intel release two versios?
