• Things you should try and learn (or master) in your life

I don't think that this is fast threads material, since I'm hoping it will be bigger than a regular "post your" thread. I thought this would be a cool idea for people to post one or two things they've learned that they feel should be passed on to others. For example - Learn at least one instrument Even if its only a simple instrument, it is a great way to express yourself and will provide hours of enjoyment and a sense of satisfaction. Most people never learn even one instrument, don't be most people. Lucid Dreaming We spend a third of our lives sleeping, why not make something amazing out of it? At no cost to your own sleep, you can learn to lucid dream and experience some incredible things. Have you ever flown miles above the earth on the back of an eagle? Felt the wind blasting your hair back, the feeling of the eagle's soft feathers beneath your hands, the feeling of diving off the eagle for a sky dive only to wake up in your own bed? A full blown lucid dream should be something EVERYBODY experiences at least once. "The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn." ~Alvin Toffler

Instruments are awesome. I've been playing piano for years, and every year I love it more and more. Jean-Luc Picard would seem to agree with you, as well.
Another language.
Takes a self-defence course, or become a Black Belt in a martial arts field. Handy bit to know, even if you never have to use it.

Visit a country outside your own country.
I'd like to learn how to play an instrument or get good at drawing but I fail completely at anything creative or artistic so that probably won't ever happen. I spent a year trying to play the harp but I sucked at it.
I want to learn either piano or guitar but I don't want to go to any class for it :saddowns:
I have a great website to start learning guitar, its what I used and I've been playing for nearly a year now. The owner does it all for free, and he has videos to accompany each lesson so you can read and see what he is teaching you visually and you can hear the sounds to make sure you are doing it right aswell. how can you learn Lucid dreaming?
Also, if you are thinking between guitar and piano choose piano. Guitar seems cool and stuff, but it is harder than you think. I have one but I just don't play on it. Plus, girls like if you can play on a piano, or synthesizer. Almost anything can be played on synthesizer. [editline]02:35PM[/editline]
how can you learn Lucid dreaming?
Read up on it, but I do this, I just check myself if I am awake, Try to remember the date, what did you do a day, or 8 hours ago, what is your name, why are you doing what you are doing. also helps if you do something with your body, like sting yourself on the face or arm. It should become a routine, and when you are dreaming, you will do this and realize you are dreaming. But be careful of sleep paralysis.

Everyone should shoot a gun at least once in their life. Not to become a super sniper or anything, but just to get them familiar with firearms and to dispel any myths/misconceptions they might have about guns.
learn where every country in the world is which only takes a week. then you will suddenly know what and where the fuck things are happening in the news/world.
This is important as well.
