It's easier to press FN+number to do the F keys anyway, you don't have to move your hand just extend your finger.

Or they could just put the function keys closer to the number keys.

numpad is useless unless you /actually/ use it
I never use it, so why would I want it, waste of space
i also never use fn keys. Have them integrated into the number row
I use my mouse for pageup/dn
like your post is great and all but you're missing the point that some people don't like having a giant skateboard sized slab on their desk all the time taking up more space than they want it to
The number pad is great for keybinds and complex simulator games. Makes me wish I got a full sized keyboard instead of an 80% for Arma 3.

For me, even when the F row is touching the numrow it's still a stretch I don't like making.

It's not even a new product, the Whitefox has been around for years and sold thousands on Massdrop. Now the creators have moved to Kickstarter, dropped the price and started advertising it more heavily.
Most likely because it's not as competitive as it used to be. In 2017, why buy a Whitefox at its original price of more than $200 when you could go on Aliexpress and get a TADA68 that'll do the same thing for $100? Even at the $170 they're now asking it's still overhyped and overpriced.
I'm typing this on a Whitefox from the very first batch. Very solid keyboard.
What exactly is so special about this board?

Oh it's just really pretentious
