This thread is somewhat similar to the creepy stuff thread; however, this thread has the emphasis on interesting rather than creepy, although sometimes they do work together. This can be hidden messages in art, interesting scientific facts or mysteries, interesting obscure information and anything else that could be interesting.
Interesting that a German wrote and directed this movie shortly before the Nazi party took hold of Germany:

I know it was discovered years ago, but I still think it's awesome that we found a sea monster species that used to be a cryptid.

I think a lot of you guys have heard of this, but it's still pretty interesting that nobody knows what the e-mails contained except the few that got it.

Actually, I've got a take on X-men, which is why it now my favorite comic book series:
X-men started in the 1960's during the Civil Rights Movement. Like African Americans, mutant rights and tolerance are (were) a controversial subject in the Marvel universe. Many mutants were treated so poorly, that they responded with rejection and violence in response to the rejection and violence, which reinforced peoples' stereotypes in mutants. I also see Charles Xavier like Martin Luther King and Magneto like Malcolm X. Magneto sees non-mutants as volatile people who will always hate mutants and that a war between the two must happen and will inevitably happen. Charles Xavier, on the other hand, wants his X-men to be superheroes and help the people who hate them and be good citizens to show them that mutants are decent people.

That's... an awesome interpretation, actually.

Some pretty good stuff.
I found a really interesting Link on the meaning of Final Fantasy VII
If you've played the game it's probably worth reading else not so much.

It made me almost interested enough to play the game. But it does sound too anime-ish for me. I know that Zelda is anime, but it feels... different.

If this is true then MM is probably has the most brilliant game design in the history of the world.
Rather known but still a joy to watch
Extra credits analyze the topic of gaming and has been running for a long time.
If you have sparetime over then I do recommend watching it.
Thought they are taking up a lot of interesting stuff so.
