Post some games you love that nobody's ever heard of. [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/ee/Phantom_Crash.jpg/256px-Phantom_Crash.jpg[/t] Phantom Crash is a fast paced, stealth mech game set in the ruins of Old Tokyo in 2031. The city is abandoned, but it's a haven for rumbling, a televised mech combat sport where pilots duke it out in arenas in mechs powered by sentient AI that take on the appearance of animals like rabbits or cats, and give the mechs abilities such as invisibility. The game has a stealth focus, but based on hit and run tactics more than sneaking. The game is half mech fighting, half visual novel, and you can customize your mech from what type it is, what parts make it up (you can make a spider mech if you want fuck it) all the way down to the paint job and what AI powers it, as well as things like music. It may be over a decade old, but: Here is a bit of gameplay to explain why:
Loved this game and its soundtrack. It was a puzzler where rows of cubes "roll" toward your character on the other end of the game floor. Destroying green and grey cubes gave you points, while destroying black cubes or letting the other two fall off the edge eliminated rows of the floor. It'd get insanely fast over time, making it hard to manuever your guy around. A solid, challenging PS1 game. Whenever you died, your score would be given in an "IQ" number.
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f7/Blinx_-_The_Time_Sweeper_Coverart.png[/t] Blinx the Time Sweeper was the game for me as a kid that I always wanted but could never have beyond the demo. But from what I played, I loved it, it was just oozing with style. I swear I'll get it some day and finally play it, and who knows, maybe it'll turn out that it was only average, but Blinx will always hold a special place in my heart regardless. Fuzion Frenzy is a game I've never heard of anyone owning outside of myself. Basically the XBOX's answer to Mario Party, Fuzion Frenzy is a damn fun party game and a ton of fun with other people. It oozes that characteristic XBOX style.
one of my all time favorite 3rd person shooters one of the last games I've enjoyed from Squareenix excellent depressing story with a bit more polish it could be close to perfection. Me and the 12 other people who played it loved it
It was a cheap game someone gave me once and I thought it was the shit It had good cover mechanics, one character was stealth based and used cloak and such while the other was a walking tank and usually carried rocket launchers and heavy machine guns. The plot was pretty crappy but it was incredibly fun, if at times absurdly difficult (hello, fucking skydiving segments)

Awesome game, it had pretty much everything: Creative creature/world design, atmospheric soundtrack, and Tim Curry.
Rogue Legacy. I have heard few people mention this game at all, so lemme talk about it. Its a addicting game, that is hard as heck. The enemies were hard, everything was hard, but with enough skill you could beat ONE boss. Just to die from the easiest enemy in game and restart all over again.
Like a darker more bloody James Bond.

Dustforce I've played this game for 2,800 hours and I feel every moment I've spent playing it was well spent. The game is pure skill and I've never felt frustrated at the game for dying, only my own inability to beat it. There are 0 random elements int eh whole game, so if you die it is your own fault. The music and sound effects are top notch , the art is unique (I haven't personally seen anything very much like it) and the game itself is so fun. Yet despite this , nobody I ever talk to has heard of it. It's a real shame, it's such a great game and only 4 people worked on it.
Fun arcade racer with a big modding community (around 2000 car mods on one site atm) and the engine is ridiculously stable. I have installed a THOUSAND cars and it has never crashed. Open beta PC Smash Bros clone that's actually pretty fun
I never see this talked about ever. It also did the entire "investigate your own murder as a ghost' thing 100000X better than Murdered: Soul Suspect.
At least I dont think most people have heard of it
Gunstar Heroes coop with a friend was the shit [editline]21st March 2015[/editline] Also Nuclear Throne deserves recognition, one of the very few Early Access games worth buying. It gets updated every week and it's fun as hell

Only ever see it discussed on the internet
[IMG]http://www.emuparadise.me/PSX/Covers/Apocalypse%20[U]%20[SLUS-00373]-front.jpg[/IMG] did someone say biblical references, ultra-violence and BRUCE WILLIS voicing the main character in a game with twinstick controls and a troubled development??
I only know two people that have played Bulletstorm (i got one of them to) but i would hardly say its a game that nobody has heard of. It always seems like nobody has played Cel Damage though.
The entire Thunder Force series. I don't hear ANYONE talk about these games. Online or off. They're incredible, especially their soundtracks. Don't bother with the sixth game though, it's... really weird and not that great.

I remember renting it.

One of those four people also composed the soundtrack to the game and it's really excellent.
Not sure if this game was ever popular, but I still loved it. [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/dd/Seek_and_Destroy_(PS2_game).jpg[/t] The opening is basically the germans raiding Britain in WWII.
All time #1 favorite game, still plays like butter, still feels like a genuine place, Atomika still makes me laugh, soundtrack kicks ass, powder pete is still awesome, go fucking play this game right now
