• Question about bridging Nvidia Cards with Crossfire Bridge.

Alright, I just ordered this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127445 Now, I currently have a 9600 GT. I want to be able to bridge my new GTS 250, and my 9600 GT so that the 9600 is just a dedicated PhysX card. I realize that I don't need an SLI certified motherboard for this, but I am concerned about what kind of bridge I need. Will I need an actual SLI bridge because they are both Nvidia cards? Or will a Crossfire bridge work fine? Any help would be appreciated.
You'll need an SLI bridge. I don't even think the pins match up between SLI and Crossfire.
You'll need an SLI bridge. I don't even think the pins match up between SLI and Crossfire.
But, here's why I'm confused. People can do ATI + Nvidia card bridges if they want the Nvidia card as a dedicated PhysX card. So if crossfire and SLI didn't have the right pins, that wouldn't be possible.
I don't even know if you use the bridge for having a PhysX card, and I think Nvidia disabled that functionality with ATI cards in a driver update some time back.
you don't use a crossfire bridge to use a physx card [editline]12:57AM[/editline] basically pris is correct
Alright, I just did some more digging and found out that, like you said Pris, you don't even need a bridge. Thanks for the help guys.
