I, as a flaming ball expert can confirm
those are infact flaming balls.
but in all seriousness this game looks pretty good. the who units not being carbon copies is a nice touch
Would be nice to see a video of the Roman legions wrecking shit instead of running through a forest trying to get to the end without dying
Starting to wonder if there will be any other battles than Teutoburg Forest.
They marketed the siege of Carthage as the first gameplay reveal :v:
"GIVE ME BACK MY LEGIONS!"
Love that quote. Finding it hard to slip into everyday conversation however.
I am not a hipster, though I do appreciate the fact that some of the new kids will have a chance to experience at least a fraction of what the old Rome was. My friends won't play it because its too old ;-;
That quote at the beginning was by Augustus Caesar. He was said to have constantly banged his head on his door cursing at the defeated general.
Rome lost around 15,000 soldiers to the Germans.
I fucking love the bits of dialect you can hear from the soldiers.
"How can we fight against such hate?"
"Hate them back, son! Hate them back!
Yeah they struck off the sames of the three legions they lost and never used the numbers again.
I find it pretty cool that 2000 years ago they still had roughly the same system for naming units in their army, they Romans were really advanced for their time.
