noice. :v:
Probably should've opted for the Sandy Bridge i7, and 6gb of ram instead to save a little dough.
[editline]4th March 2011[/editline]
I also would bet that you'll never use the features in Win7 Ultimate, may as well have saved the money and just got Home Premium.
Could've got Sandy, should have got a 570 or 6970 instead of the 480. Not sure if you need 12gb or RAM but if you don't do heavy rendering, photoshop and such it was a waste of cash. Should also have got more HDD room as 500gb sounds small these days. I found that out in my case, might need a 3rd HDD. Next will be 1Tb.
Probably should have run those past H&S before you bought them...
X58, 12GB RAM, 480 and seagate momentus?
lol
Well, it's better than my PC, so I'm happy for you!
Good PC specs. Do you actually need all that RAM though?

In a 15 years time, we'll be wondering how we ever got by on less than 15 GB RAM :v:

It was on offer so why not?

because it's still a waste of money when 4GB is more than enough
because it's still a waste of money when 4GB is more than enough
on top of that, ram is usually ten bucks a gigabyte so if you need the upgrade it's cheap

Yeah, but at least I know I have more than the recommended amount of ram and if one stick fails I still have more then enough.
Small ass case.
sick rig dude!
That PC looks like more overkill than a cool rig.
850W PSU, Why? That was a waste of cash
12GB of DDR3. Well, I think this thread has already established that most of that is going to waste.
Windows 7 Ultimate. What the fuck do you need ultimate for? The only perks it gives you over Pro:
- Online backup
- Every fucking language for the OS. Go you, now you can install in east asian characters.
- Some other dumb features that makes buying Ultimate completely stupid unless you NEED them.
For the departments lacking:
Video Card: Meh, Non DX11 card. No worries since Dx11 still hasn't taken place yet. the 480 wasn't a wise decision, but its yours none the less
500GB HDD? Really? You know 1TBs are only ~$80 these days. 500GB fills up real quick.
That case. Its real small. Kinda bland, I wouldn't recommend it.. but your cash anyways.
Whoa, is that a real SATA DVD+/-RW? Hot damn, and its OEM too!
Meh, Non DX11 card ... 480
The 480 is a DX11 card.
the ram makes me depressed... you should have gone for ddr3-2000

I still have a spear 500gb HDD which I'm using to back up all my softwear and music ect. I dout I'll fill it. Since I only want to use my computer for gaming and internet. The only games I really install are on steam apart from GTA IV. Which if it does clog up the hard drive I'll just delete the content. Which doesn't bother me.
But the case I've got to say is fine. I always seem to have problems with graphics cards burning out and my system over heating and with the huge ass fans on it should be fine and I personaly prefer simple designs. Would of liked to of had a side window again but just pushed up the price more.
you should have gone for less ram. Would have saved you some money

but at least he can make a ram drive.
It's not the latest of the latest but it's a good gaming computer.
