Im tethering on my phone through a VPN (my package doesnt allow tethering) and that all works fine but for some reason sometimes, the 3G connection just drops completely... I have to turn off 3g and turn it back on again for it to work... Is this them cathing me and turning it off? Thing is, whenever they cathc me at it they always display a web page warning you about using tethering which I havent had when this happens... Any ideas? Im using a kill switch so its not the VPN dropping out. Also worth mentioning im using a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which is running on a custom KitKat rom with touchwiz.

Not quite sure what your logic is here - if you're using something that kills the connection if the VPN disconnects, then that's exactly what will happen if they suddenly block your connection.
It's very likely they are 'catching you', and obviously you won't see the block message web page via a VPN
Very little you can do other than making your VPN traffic look more legit e.g. use SSTP on 443 and/or one of the HTTPS CONNECT tunnels. If you want to go super balls to the wall, use a tunnel based on HTTP chunked encoding and Comet (e.g.) and set the user agent to look like a phone (but expect the whole TCP over TCP timing bottleneck to be exponentially worse)

They try and catch you? Shit, the most a Verizon employee said to me is that me tethering 40-50 gigs a month is why my antenna burnt out, then replaced my phone for free.
@Darkimmortal Reply button wont work but:
The 3G connection literally drops out all together, so I can go to my phone and try and browse and il get a connection error, I have to turn the 3G on and off to fix it.

I guess try switching to TCP vpn or vice-versa
On TCP right now but will try UDP and try ports 443 incase.
Thanks!
