all my want
So long as they don't put out as many as possible like they did after 3, I'm very very ok with this.
No thanks I already have enough plastic instruments.
It's going to be called simply Guitar Hero. The instrument will be expensive as ever. It'll be just about guitars again. It'll also be extremely social based. And the entire set list will be limp bizkit and linkin park.

I'm very happy about this, I love these kinds of games. Unfortunately, my guitars are for the Wii :v:
I still go back to Warriors of Rock every now and again, it was pretty good
Meh, don't see why you would bother when you have stuff like Rocksmith but then again, I've never seen the justification in playing on a plastic guitar.

Other than that, Guitar Hero is more of an arcade game that anyone can pick up and play than teaching you how to play a real guitar.
I wish they made it easier to get custom songs, and not at such an expensive price.
I still go back to Warriors of Rock every now and again, it was pretty good
Warriors of Rock was great but by the time it came out I was so burnt out on GH that i just played through once and didnt really pick it up much more.
I can see this working if they focus on profiting off the DLC and have the game ship with a bundle that's backwards compatible with the older stuff. Or they take an entire new control approach that deserves a whole new peripheral (but how would you even do that)
If they just release one, and then constantly expand on the library through DLC (and maybe allow you to rent songs for a day for like 50 cent) I'd be down. I only ever played Guitar Hero 3 but I had a lot of fun with it at the time.
I don't know about this, last one I played was 3 and it was okay, had some fun for sure. I mean, I can see myself buying it if it allows custom tracks and stuff but otherwise I can't see myself purchasing this one.
guitar hero x project diva crossover???
If this is true, then it would be awesome if there was some Sabaton in there :v
please dear god I want more music games
Rock Band was a better game than Guitar Hero
Meh, don't see why you would bother when you have stuff like Rocksmith but then again, I'venever seen the justification in playing on a plastic guitar.
I love Rocksmith, but honestly it's pretty niche in comparison to Guitar Hero. It's like comparing Burnout to something like Forza Motorsport. I wouldn't be playing guitar if it wasn't for Guitar Hero II, so I'm happy to see the series back. They mentioned live action crowds in the source, so maybe they are going to go for the "you can plug in a real guitar" angle, hopefully they handle it better than Rock Band 3
I really hope this is true and succeeds at reviving the "plastic instrument" genre so Harmonix will make a new Rock Band to blow this out of the water. Though for either game, they really need to make DLC libaries backwards-compatible. Custom song support would definitely not happen, though.
Put it on the Wii U too!!
Put it on the PC too!!
you'd think it'd be easy to make a game that's just universally good for any song and that's that
Guitar Hero Nickelback anyone?
I just want a new DJ Hero
