Is a teacher allowed to make you pay for a review book? It's not a text book or anything, just some stupid review book that I know I will never actually use to "review" or do anything of the sort. I don't think it's even part of the curriculum. I don't feel like forking up $16 for it. (in the USA)

Take her ovaries out.
no unless it's in a contract or some shit
We had to buy the same things this year. She said it was 'nessecary'.. I'm not sure if its part of the curriculum though either..
Every set of teachers has a sorta teacher of the department like example head teacher of the math department, find he/she and ask if it is truly necessary, if you can.
Thanks for the advice, I'll look for the director of the math department.
BTW I have this feeling that the book probably only costs like $10 and then $6 is going into who-knows-what.
