Hello people of facepunch. I was wondering if these parts would all work together. (I am buying these on the budget of around $1500) Power Supply: Corsair CX750M GPU: 2 x msi geforce gtx 970 (sli) Ram: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Genesis XMP Memory Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Extreme9 Motherboard Processor: Intel Core i7 4790K 4GHz Thanks in advance guys :)
Yes, All the other parts are covered. Im upgrading an old crappy gaming pc so enclosure and stuff is already sorted The only thing that I am concerned about is the fact that the motherboard has 2-8 pin connectors for the cpu. When the power supply only gives you a 1-8 pin connector and 1-21 pin connector. Would this be an issue?
That's because the motherboard is absolutely overkill unless you're planning quad sli or ln2 cooling
Another tip: Buy only one 970 now, this will still run everything on max. And when you get to its limit, buy the second. Or (Since by the time you get to its limit one more more year has passed) a card that has come out by then that is better than 970's in SLI and also cheaper than 970's in SLI. Remember: The only way to futereproof is money in the bank.
I will take that advice, Since it will also take down the overall price of the build : P
