the beginning of the end for this inevitable trainwreck.
Fair play to them, it's obvious some deal of thought has gone into it, and i admire the transparency of it.
I don't really know how I feel about this game, it is teetering on a knife edge for me.

You must feel so good about yourself.
They will either break through into the world of videogame legend, or break apart on re-entry. Either way this is going to be interesting.

Sounds like a good idea to me, they want to send out something thats far more functional then originally planed, I'm fine with delays if it means a better game

I don't even follow the Star Citizen hype but stopping your train from leaving station to adjust its wheels somehow makes it more of a trainwreck?

All I have seen you do is shitpost. Can you atleast put some effort into them or something instead of just going all out lol this sux.
I hope it works out for them. Thankfully I backed with the anticipation that Star Citizen would be a Freelancer HD + Mod Support game. So I am not expecting the entire world on a silver platter, like several people who backed it do.
my only worry is that it wont live up to half the hype. if it doesnt it will be almost DOA

I kind of agree even though i bought a ship ages ago and i want to play it...

The game won't be a trainwreck. The hyped up fan-kids reactions when they realize its not completely perfect in every way will be.
I don't really see how a delay makes it a train wreck. Lots a great games suffer delays and the ones that don't often come out a mess.
It won't be a train wreck, it'll be a space wreck.
one that we can explore.
and loot.
and blow up.

The trainwreck they're talking about is not because its delayed, but because the game's just promising way too much to make good on.

There's ambitious. Then there's overambitious. Then there's really overambitious.
Then there's Star Citizen.

Explain to me what claims are over-ambitious beside planetary exploration and combat.
As long as it feels like Freelancer, I will be happy.
gosh this is barely a surprise
"I feel that the Dogfighting module, especially with Star Citizen’s greatly increased profile, needs to be more polished than a typical “alpha”. There are a lot of eyes on the game, and more than a few people wanting us to fail. Because Dogfighting is the first module that will involve significant gameplay, it has to be good – I don’t feel that we will get a pass just because it is pre-pre alpha."

I have to agree, we might have people understand that's its an alpha; not a finished product and one at a very early stage, but we will also have people that will think its not going to change which can lead to some issues.
I feel that the community of the game is already gone to shit. There's no way all people they got are space games fans. They became too big and attracted the hugbox communities that plagues nowadays games.
