It's a lot of fun. Not full on sim, but not full on arcade either.

The #1 problem people are hating on the game for is that it's not dangerous waters 2 and that's a stupid critisim.
I'm just saying that it's a nice middleground between those extremes. They did an excellent job, it's kinda weird playing with a Los-Angeles class sub though since my dad was on one, and he joined the Navy in early '84 :v:. Though he was on an SSBN at that point, and was on an SSN in the 90s.

That being said while I don't mind Dangerous waters and I try to get into it I'm off put by the fact that I have to put myself through STS/STG A school with a huge manual to play the game. Some people really dig the huge depth that it has and that's fine I think DW is cool but not my cup of Tea. I love CW though, definately recommend a buy and I hope they expand a lot on the game and add a PACT campaign too.
