First thing I've ever tried to draw in Photoshop. Creative criticism por favor: [editline]14th November 2010[/editline] anyone have any tips as to how to make this a finished project, i.e make the lines solid? I only have a tablet and Photoshop CS3
Well I would like to know what you are going to do with it. gonna draw the entire body or focus on the head/helmet? Its hard to critizise this. But it looks good.
The helmets almost 2D whereas the body is 3D, the anatomy is kinda fucked, the lines are really scratchy, you should probably just trace over it and there really isn't much detail. No offence, but it doesn't look like it took you more than 10 minutes.
I'm godawful at proportions/anatomy, and I've hardly ever used my tablet before in all honesty how should I add depth to the helmet, in that case

Shade it, and use highlights to bring out curves and suck over the glass and metal:

The lines are too sketchy. Don't do a bunch of short lines, do long strokes. Take advantage of your tablet, use a brush that allows you to adjust the thickness with pen pressure for example.
I thought you were actually building a replica. I am disappoint.
too small space, lines are incredebly jaggy and there's no shape dynamics for lines, the anatomy, perspective and proportion are simply horrendous. I bet getting a tablet has been the worst descision you've ever made. Get some work done with pen and paper and evolve instead of wasting your time fucking up with a tablet.

Kinda sucks, but I don't think I'm gonna cry my eyes out. I want to attend life drawing classes though.
Drawing with a tablet is kind of the wrong term, It's usually more like painting. Pling does any paintings with traditional mediums?
Nahh. I could try oil painting but haven't got the supplies and it's a bit costly. I want a good graphite stick thingy to draw with. Can't find one anywhere.

It smells radioactive. It's ankward to write dialouge with you, everything I write I automatically read in my head as James May. And I read yours as if Clarkson sais it. Been watching waay too much Top Gear lately.
