• Want to buy a new gfx card but which one?

It's about time to replace my GTX 275. But I can't choose which one to buy. After some research I came up with a list of possible candidates. My budget is between 350 and 480 euro's. - GTX 670 - GTX 680 - Radeon HD7950 - Radeon HD7970 I have always been a NVIDIA fan, but around this budget it seems ATI is a better buy because it has 1 GB more RAM. Also would it be worth to buy the 680 over the 670 or the 7970 over the 7950? They are much more expensive while the diffrence in performance seems little. I am tempted to take the 670 because it seems to be inbetween the 7970 and the 680 performance wise, and is still cheaper. I'd like to keep the price as low as possible. Any insights would be welcome!
GTX 670. Cheaper than a 680, but almost as good as it.

I take it the extra GB of RAM the radeon offers is not worth it?
Vram doesn't mean as much as the clock speeds and architecthure and driver support of the card.
Not at all unless you're running an ungodly amount of monitors.
Not at all unless you're running an ungodly amount of monitors.
Not true, game textures are stored in the VRam and are the main use of the VRam. GTA4 uses over 1GB, for instance.

I think at max settings GTA 4 uses around 1,4 GB on VRAM. GTA 5 will be released in the next year or so, I'd like to have a card which VRAM will be enough when 5 comes out.

GTX 670 it is then. Any recommendations on which manufacturer? My current card is an EVGA, and it served me pretty well. I know Asus is a good and solid brand. Everything i ever had from XFX randomly died.

Go with EVGA, their support is awesome, plus you get a longer warranty.
EVGA cards are also immensely sexy.
all the 670's look the same right now... ASUS has great support too, and so does MSI.

I've heard the ASUS 670s have better cooling than the EVGAs, and their support is just as good now that EVGA stopped it's lifetime warranty for GPUs.
I've had a Galaxy card before, and that thing was indestructible.
Either EVGA if you want a reference card. If you want a better one, it's one of those with aftermarket dual coolers...... The Zotac GTX 670 Amp! Edition is actually the best performing / most overclocked. It uses the gtx680 and dual coolers so it can overclock even more.. I was stupid to get an EVGA GTX670 SC as soon as it released..... It's great, overclocks well but runs quite hot and is very noisy.....
I'm using an Advent CPD1301 X2545 PC. Does its job very well, but it feels sluggish when running new games, and I'm using the nVidia GeForce GT 250 graphics card. I was just wondering about it since Max Payne 3 and GTA 5 will be coming out, as well as Prototype 2. Would the GTX 670 be good for me, and if so is it compatible with my PC?
What's the specs of it?

What brand/wattage is the PSU?
Well it's payday and I ordered this baby: I choose this one above the EVGA because I read there are a few problems with the EVGA. I think this one looks better and the dual fan makes it more silent also.

You could use a new CPU and therefore motherboard to. And im 90% sure you need a new PSU if this one is still stock. And you might as wel buy a new case while you are at it. ./ Half a new PC.
