Hillary Clinton Email Probe Is Part Of A Criminal Investigation, Admits Justice Department — Revelat
In a fresh development in the FBI investigation that is being conducted on the classified emails Hillary Clinton sent on her private server during her tenure as the Secretary of State, the Justice Department has acknowledged that the probe is a “law enforcement matter” and could lead to the indictment and subsequent conviction of the Democratic front-runner.
According to Fox News Insider, the Justice Department declined to respond to a Freedom of Information Act request related to the investigation because it involves “a law enforcement matter.”
This is the first time that the Justice Department has publicly admitted that Hillary Clinton’s email probe is part of a criminal investigation. This contradicts Clinton’s defense of her actions and her repeated claims that the FBI investigation is not really an investigation at all, but merely a “security review.”

Bernie's last chance at a victory.
The only question is when will it come into action?
of course its a criminal matter
she had top secret information on a private server that wasn't secured, you're just asking for it to be stolen
if an ordinary joe did that, they'd already be in jail
Speaking of stolen emails, this is a thing.

I hope they bring her in for it sooner rather than later, at least we'll have one nutcase out of the equation for the presidential elections.
Nearly everyone I've met to has had to work with classified information before has said they would be in jail instantly if they were in her position. I don't get how she has not been charged yet.
Today's been a really politically important day. This might end up in a Sanders vs Trump situation.
and then she gets pardoned by Obama

Our two-tier justice system makes her think she's above the law. Sad thing is that they might be right.

I'm guessing it's because against such a figure you have to have a really REALLY solid case so she can't pull any cards or political favors or some shit to get out of it.
I don't get why she's allowed to run for president when she has the FBI investigating her.
Innocent until proven guilty. It works both ways unfortunately.
She's not convicted, so she's not a felon, so she's perfectly legit to run.
She's not convicted because she's powerful, anyone else who did this would have been in jail immediately.

that doesnt change his statement
that doesnt change his statement
No it doesn't, but the only reason why it's taking so long is because she's going through the first-class citizen's justice system.
Actually federal investigations take a while. Suffice to say if the FBI is investigating you, and you get indicted, you're fucked. The FBI might take a while, but once they have enough evidence for an indictment, you're done. The best she could do if she got indicted would be a plea deal.
Out of curiosity, how long does it typically take for an investigation to go through? It'd be pretty embarrassing if she became president and was then arrested.
and then she gets pardoned by Obama
I would fly to the white house just to protest that.

It depends.
In this particular case, the FBI have to build an airtight case against Clinton. This will take time, and there is no other way to put that.
It's for three reasons.
First, she likely has the absolute best legal defense available and the money to pay for it. Since she's a very large public figure, she likely has one if not more law firms on retainer and I guarantee you that one of them is already engaged in research on the case law.
Second, she has significant political favor in her corner. It's not at all unheard of for people with such favor to be treated lightly by the court for any number of reasons. I know a guy who was let off of a petty theft charge in highschool because his family got the governor to write him a letter of good character.
Third and finally, she has a significant portion of the court of public opinion in her favor. No matter what court tries her, it will be under intense scrutiny and pressure by the public, and there would be a staggeringly long appeals process.
Most people in Clinton's position would have been charged same-day and have already been to trial by now. It's even plausible that said trial would've been resolved within a week, let alone a month, and they'd be locked up in a military prison.
It's very likely the Clinton trial, if it ever came to be, could drag on well through the campaign season, which could lead to the amusing possibility of a sitting president being indicted for crimes they were charged with while running.
and then she gets pardoned by Obama
As far as I understand, accepting a pardon would be admitting guilt. You can't get pardoned for something if you didn't do it. So it would mean she probably wouldn't face any punishment, but she would still be a criminal.
I wonder- can a president pardon themselves?
I wonder- can a president pardon themselves?
Not without concequenses.
I wonder- can a president pardon themselves?
Doubt it. That would be illogical.
[editline]4th May 2016[/editline]
oh wait it's okay if it's illogical
Not without concequenses.
Such as?
Such as?
They fucking melt, it's sick
I wonder- can a president pardon themselves?
Even if they could, it would be totally legitimate grounds for impeachment.
I would fly to the white house just to protest that.
I'll be right there protesting with you.
If she gets pardoned for this there will be a massive upset and possibly even riots. What she did was completely immoral and disgustingly negligent. We can't let shit like this slide anymore, we shouldn't allow anybody to be above the law like she thinks she is.
The only reason for her to own a private email server in her home would be for her to hide shit that she didn't want our government seeing.
She claims she had the server because it was "convenient" for her which is complete bullshit. Anyone who's set up a private server knows they aren't in any way convenient, especially when it needs to be secure as possible in order to handle classified information, which her's most likely wasn't. It would have been much more convenient for her to just call up one of the many IT geeks in our government and give them her domain info so they could route her emails through their secure servers. It would of taken them less then 30 min to have her up and running but no, for some reason she thought it would be better to buy her own server and have her private tech consultant set it up in her home for her....
If she doesn't at least get indicted for this then I will lose whatever little faith I have left in our justice system.
We all knew what this was day 1.
Honestly can't believe we live in the day and age where someone running to be the leader of our country is running while being investigated for criminal activity and is winning. I guess people care more about her words than her actions.
It would be kinda sad if the first female president is also the first to get arrested in office.
It would be kinda sad if the first female president is also the first to get arrested in office.
Don't want to stand in the way of history, right? :v:
They better not go easy on her. I want her prosecuted with the full integrity of the justice system.
Know this, if the FBI does not bring this to court or the charges do not stick, Trump will use this against her.
I watched a few documentaries about him. He has a habit of digging up dirt on his opposition and using it to get his way. Doesn't matter if it is a slum project resident or a business competitor. He will launch his own investigation, he will sue her and use his media manipulation skill to get the press to repeat the message "Clinton is a crook" over and over again. It will be all you will see on the air.
The man is also aggression incarnate.
Why the democratic party want her go against him, and throw away the election. I have no clue why.
